quarreling...feuding and fightin

quarreling....Writer Graham green had an original angle. you are going to quarrel with someone evenmtually. So get it over at the start of the relationship (not a good idea.)

Family quarrels are 10-a-penny. A law of nature. Perhaps the middle classes handle their upsets with more tact and less drama.

Had any good quarrels lately? They can be positive, if you keep your head and sense of humour..

they can also be destructive

tjac I mean writing in the papers

Feudin fightin on TV

the David Jayson play last night on ITV(8.30)

Do you alleged non-quarreling lot think
the writer overdid the problems and quarrels in Jaysons family?

Or have you seen families like that..It was very working class. Was the wrtier being unfair.?
People have mixed feelings on David jayson

tyzer2001 · 21/12/2010 14:37

I have no feelings about David jayson.

I do however think David Jason is fab.

GabbyLoggon · 21/12/2010 14:51

And tyzer you missed off the little ones title (we share that habit)

If you did not see the play. Get to see it.
It moved me in the end. (a mystery end I thought)

The Soaps live on Family quarrels. Mumsnetters have none.

I do not believe it. (Richard wilson)

Isnt it ironic a site about quarrels has turned into a mssive one. Life is often like that

Merry Christmas and a happy reading and posting New Year.

Gabby why don't you use chat for these inane rambelings of yours instead of Aibu.

Because personally i feel uabu for clogging it up like this.Xmas Smile.

And as for you writing in all those papers i take it your always writing to the letters pages about something

toddlerama · 21/12/2010 14:56

Gabby, it doesn't count as 'published' if you just leave tripe in the comments section online.

Come on, spout some more. It's fascinating.

chitchatinsantasear · 21/12/2010 14:58

Published in which section? Letters to the Editor?

FrostyAndSlippery · 21/12/2010 15:45

"Gabby, it doesn't count as 'published' if you just leave tripe in the comments section online."

OMG Toddlerama I love you.

Oh, and FYI gabby, the Sun would never darken my doorstep - DH and I prefer the Independent. Better grammar, innit.

Furthermore (see, I can use big words) I don't claim "no understanding of English" gabby. I'm sure my grammar school teachers would give a glowing report Hmm

I claim no understanding of random musings that really belong on a backwater blog.

I'm reminded of my local Family Grapevine magazine, which has a newish regular feature by some dear old fellow. I'm guessing the editor didn't have the heart to leave his wafflings out of the publication. Bless him.

one line posters are the scared ones Frosty...scared of real debate. scared some middle class wallah make take them apart.

People who can only post one liners must really hate our lovely english language.^

No just succinct Xmas Grin

FrostyAndSlippery · 21/12/2010 17:12

I love the English language - precisely why I resent seeing it pissed all over meddled with by "published writers" [fbear]

tribpot · 21/12/2010 18:02

Frosty, as this thread has no purpose, could I ask, what is the Pom Bear face? Or are we meant to call it just a bear face?

FrostyAndSlippery · 21/12/2010 18:06

Um, something to do with a thread about a party where the DH said "pom bear anyone?"

That's the extent of my knowledge on it I'm afraid... I think it's a nicer, fluffier version of the Biscuit

Unrulysanta · 21/12/2010 18:28

Yes and then no-onecould really agree what it meant ( the bear) which probably makes a Gabby thread as good a place as any for explaining it. :)

tribpot · 21/12/2010 19:25

Oh great, so it actually is the "we don't know what this means" face? Perfect!

Unrulysanta · 21/12/2010 20:20

Yeah I think that sums it up - we don't know what this means

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 21/12/2010 20:28

What a load of unoriginal bollocks you're spouting OP

tribpot · 21/12/2010 20:36

Could I suggest the bear is the ghost of Mumsnet present? I'm just asking.

GabbyLoggon · 23/12/2010 13:59

I think this has gone slightly off-course.

what was happening yesterday. I thought Mr Wicki Leaks had invaded the sites. (Never seen anything like that before)

We do quarrel a bit here. But not half as much as Cameron, Clegg and cable

three Cs? you bet.

OP posts:
GabbyLoggon · 23/12/2010 14:02

the point is Frosty people are able to understand at different levels.

Michael Macintye is not Eddie Izzard but both are brilliant in their different ways.

Ones routine, the other is a sort of genious.

GabbyLoggon · 23/12/2010 14:19

And Huge manatee is not a writer.

Sacrilege to have such a wonderful language and not use it.

On sites ?

I am not fussed. All sites have readers, I assume.

Almost a charity often hilarity.
