to wonder about Cher's education

Why did Cher go back to her primary school?
Wouldn't her secondary let her into the building?

If that reception class even knew who she was and were allowed to stay up to watch Factor X, then they will now be traumatised by the Aguilira burlesque display.

She's a post-Madonna prima donna.

I think she's great.

PosieParksHerSleigh · 12/12/2010 10:02

She's seventeen.

Iwishiwasasleep · 12/12/2010 10:04

Igetmorelovefromthecat that should be quote of the weekGrin

heymango · 12/12/2010 10:07

posieparkshersleigh I totally agree - she's still a child. Lots of us were arrogant, smug and thought we knew it all at 17.

Plus, we know that the press can make up stories from absolutely no truth.

Although I wasn't her greatest fan, I wish her well - for me, she was the only one who really stood out for doing something different.

ShanahansRevenge · 12/12/2010 10:08

She may not have wanted to go back. I know I would not have gone NEAR my secondary once I had left...not at Chers age anyway.

UnquietDad · 12/12/2010 10:11

She should have done

llareggub · 12/12/2010 10:15

I've hated X Factor this year. The press have behaved disgracefully in the hatred for two of the female contestants. Why is it always women who are vilified in this way?

PosieParksHerSleigh · 12/12/2010 10:16

Makes me uncomfortable when grown ups bitch about children, what a nasty society...at least Pixie Lott is grown tooGrin.

RunawayChristmasTree · 12/12/2010 10:17

I think she is a vile waste of space TBH

SlartyBartFast · 12/12/2010 10:18

i havent read the press reports and did wonder why cher seems unpopular plus katie.
but as far as singing is conerned rebecca is brilliant.

GypsyMoth · 12/12/2010 10:23

i agree with heymango

she was looking remarkably like cheryl cole towards the end as well

Really, at seventeen for being on the telly for a couple of hours, she's a vile waste of space. Good God.

GypsyMoth · 12/12/2010 10:24

i actually have a feeling one direction will win......i would prefer them to rather than mr cardle.

SlartyBartFast · 12/12/2010 10:25

i cant say one direction without reverting to wand erection Blush Grin

independiente · 12/12/2010 10:33

I agree with Posie and Mango. A vile waste of space? Says more about those who would believe everything they read in a 'news'paper... and have perhaps led perfect lives as teenagers? By all means say you don't like her singing style, but all the ott nasty comments? Not necessary.

NorbertDentressAngelOnTheTree · 12/12/2010 10:37

I think people need to give her a break -she's only 17, she may have done some regrettable things in her school days but she's not the first and won't be the last.

Not all children are prefect. Some of our children may be brats too, or bullies, or be excluded etc. Doesn't mean that they should be written off at such a young age.

I just watched last nights songs on YouTube and you've got to give it to her, she gets on with it, shows no nerves, and performs confidently.

She has a chance, lets hope she uses it wisely.

I don't like her particularly, but I agree that there is not need to be so nasty about her.

However, her "kicky leg thing" was on the most irritating things on TV in 2010..................

Nancy66 · 12/12/2010 10:47

She's horrible - so are her family. She's lucky a lot more didn't come out about her....

SlartyBartFast · 12/12/2010 10:52

she will probably do well in her singing career then - whatever she has done

pommedeterre · 12/12/2010 10:54

DD (9 months) does the kicky leg thing when she's standing up holding onto the sofa and wondering about this walking lark.
It's not very endearing.
She does come across well. I do however believe that she and Katie in particular have been exposed to really, really horrible press campagains/public hatred because of Simon Cowell. Simon orchestrating them to get in and stay in when the public didn't judge them the most 'deserving' is what has caused the hatred and they are just the figurheads of it.

well my dd's dont' read the papers either and they are disappointed she is out.

cupcakebakerer · 12/12/2010 11:01

I have to say that Cher was the only one that would put on a 'performance' in my opnion but - even though I know you can't believe everything you read - I was totally put off her by the bullying accusations. I cannot stand bullies. I also think she came across as cocky with some of her facial expressions during the judge's comments.

lazylula · 12/12/2010 11:05

Cher kind of grew on me, but I prefered her when she stood and sung, rather than the rap stuff she did. I wasn't that bothered whether she went last night.
