I am a sahd, happily married,2 kids and I am looking forward to cooking for eleven people on Christmas day

I am shocked to see so many unhappy people out there who hate there inlaws/OH.

Are happy people in the minority?

No, I'm happy too! See ---> Smile

larry5 · 05/12/2010 19:13

I am happy - dd will be home from uni and ds1 will come to stay over Christmas and having had a minor op recently I have to say that DH has looked after me wonderfully.

I admit I do miss having the large family Christmas that we used to have but will see a lot of the rest of my family on Boxing Day.

SantasNutellaFairy · 05/12/2010 19:15

I think there are a lot of stressed people, rather than unhappy.

HecTheHallsWithBoughsOfHolly · 05/12/2010 19:15

Nah. I'm happy.

AnnieLobeseder · 05/12/2010 19:16

I'm very happy! Life is going remarkably well for me at the moment.

As for Christmas, we're off to my Dad's in France, and there's no conflict cos DH's family are Jewish!

Xmas Grin
curlymama · 05/12/2010 19:17

I'm happy, but my MN persona probably isn't Xmas Grin

I do alot of complaining on this website.

WhyMeWhyNot · 05/12/2010 19:17

I'm happy {fsmile}

If you show dislike for others then you'll surely receive it.

Life is what you make it, a miserable face brings miserable thoughts and miserable reactions from others.

I love smiling at people and getting one back.

I am happy too Grin Very happily married, have a beautiful DD, have a fab life too. Long may it continue.

ProfYaffle · 05/12/2010 19:19

We're a very happy household Xmas Grin

I even used my first festive smiley to make the point.

Preggersplayspop · 05/12/2010 19:23

I am quite happy.

It's not that often you need advice on how to make yourself feel worse, but quite often useful to get advice on how to make yourself feel better.

Trop · 05/12/2010 19:23

I'm happy.

I love DS, enjoy my job. I'm very happily single and generally very content.
Xmas Smile

WingDad · 05/12/2010 19:23

I'm mostly happy. I have a beautiful wife and 3 brilliant kids in a nice house. I like my life and don't want it to change. I love my job too, which is always a bonus!

Had a few bumps along the way, but at this moment, everything is going good :)

mistletoeploppy · 05/12/2010 19:25

I'm ecstatic

Tee2072 · 05/12/2010 19:27

Not only am I happy, but I like my inlaws and am looking forward to having them joIn us for Christmas.

MiasmARGGG · 05/12/2010 19:28

I'm happy and pleased with and immensely thankful for my lot Xmas Smile

fluffles · 05/12/2010 19:32

i'm mostly happy (very happy at home, bit unhappy at work)

but people don't post on an internet support forum when they are happy.. they post when they need support!!

so YABU, most of us are mostly happy Grin

[though it does seem to me a lot of people on MN dislike their friends - what's that all about, surely the definition of friend is a person you like and choose to be with??]

PatFig · 05/12/2010 19:34

jolly good

I am glad iabu

I'm pretty happy, I have a lovely DH, 2 beautiful boys and a lovely house and plenty of brilliant friends. This year has been a bit tough but I think we are going to have a great year next year. Smile

I'm happier now ( and have been for at least 18 months) than at pretty much any point in the last 20 years.

Life is very good at the moment and I appreciate every day with the full knowledge of how quickly things can change for the worse.

ivykaty44 · 05/12/2010 19:37

no you are not the only happy person on mn - but if all the happy people moaned about being happy in AIBU then it would be silly Grin

I am a happy bod

SantasMooningArse · 05/12/2010 19:38

I am happy.

Sometimes I feel on here that I must not say that as I am on a low income through disability and I expect someone to come and say 'my taxes should not allow you to be happy.

but happiness doesn;t have to equal perfect- just the absence of misery. As long as we are all healthy (autism is different to ill health after all) and can eat and are together then I am happy.

Goingspare · 05/12/2010 19:40

I am beside myself with joy , but admittedly I'm not spending Christmas with the in-laws.

Christmas is a bit of an odd time, it doesn't always show us at our best.
