I love Christmas tho will be leaving it a few weeks before our tree goes up - but sooooooo completely up to you, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks - enjoy!!!!

Squitten · 21/11/2010 21:29

YABU!

But then I'm already suffering from Xmas sensory overload and it's only November!

OmniaParatus · 21/11/2010 21:30

YANBU, we bought our tree yesterday and DC's were upset when we suggested putting it up later so it is up now.

Having said that, the house across the road has had two 6x6' flashing light curtains, 50' of tracker flashing icicle lights, and lit decorations in every window since last Sunday (thank goodness DS's window has blackout blinds!), so we are not the first in the street!

lilolilmanchester · 21/11/2010 21:30

herbietree - you mean you dust every 5 week????????????? :)

lilolilmanchester · 21/11/2010 21:31

It's NOVEMBER you weirdos

and that's the second time I have had to post that on a thread

bubblerock · 21/11/2010 21:39

A tad early for me, we usually wait until after 14th Dec but this year they're going up on 1st as we're away from 10th - 21st so I don't want to miss out! Blush

Mumwithadragontattoo · 21/11/2010 21:41

YABU

DioneTheDiabolist · 21/11/2010 21:41

YANBU. It's your house, your tree and November is such a pants month. Pour a sherry, have a mince pie and enjoy.Grin

lilolilmanchester · 21/11/2010 21:43

well, if you're dusting anyway............. still a bit early in my book, but given that your tree is up already, enjoy and stop worrying about what anyone else thinks!!!!!

lilolilmanchester · 21/11/2010 21:46

oh yes, and as Dione points out, once the tree is up, you can justify mince pies and sherry. Or mulled wine. or G&T. or mojitos. or margheritas. Or ......... blimey, the list is endless. Maybe I'll put the tree up on "7th night" next year!

PlonkerForLifeNotJustChristmas · 21/11/2010 21:49

Oi Memoo!

Wink
piscesmoon · 21/11/2010 21:51

Mad. I think it gets silly, people put their tree up on Dec 1st (or earlier) then on Boxing Day they go to the Sales and take it all down!! I have just started by then. The week before is ample time.

Oh dear - I think YABVU! It's November!! Even if it was the first week in December I would still think it was too early. Sorry!
