All this talk of weddings has reminded my of my own. At the practice I specifically asked the priest not to say "YMNKTB". Firstly because I think snogging in church is tacky and secondly because I think it is up to me and my husband whether (and when) we kiss.

He still said it though - I just gave hubby a kiss on the cheek.

Was I unreasonable?

lol. Our priest wouldn't say it, as it's not in the service and he witheringly declared it to be an americanism. I was quite disappointed, but then I am quite tacky.

It's a bit odd though, isn't it? My mate got the vicar to say 'you may now kiss each other' and I thought that was nicer. Otherwise whenever I hear it I'm thinking, 'c'mon, I'm pretty sure he knows 'the bride's' name by now!'.

Anyone who doesn't wear a transparent backless lace wedding dress with inbuilt pushup bra is a ridiculous frigid prude and shouldn't bother getting married in the first place. I mean marriage is about sex so why try and pretend that it isn't?
