Am I right that if the details of my life don't conform to certain standards, she will survey my posting history and announce her suspicions?

"It is considered (by AnyFucker) very rude to negatively name-check someone in a thread title."

It is considered (by other people) very boring to always be troll-hunting on perfectly normal threads.

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 16/11/2010 08:14

Westley, would you care to provide some examples of that

Since you are "new" and I have been offline all over the weekend, you might struggle with that

One perhaps ?

But "always" to be troll-hunting. ? Methinks you are seeing things that are simply not there.

And FWIW, most people would agree that starting a thread about someone to slag them off is the lowest form of posting.

ginodacampoismydh · 16/11/2010 09:51

westley get a life and stop attempting to pick on AF. if you want to tell us what your grievance is go ahead.

Blatherskite · 16/11/2010 10:06

"It is considered (by AnyFucker and Blatherskite) very rude to negatively name-check someone in a thread title."

Anyone else care to add their name?

AF has been here for years, I've not noticed her "always troll-hunting in perfectly normal threads" either.

What is your problem with her? If you read the blurb at the top of the screen, AIBU is not to be used for personal attacks - I'm getting very tempted to report this thread and have it pulled.

Blatherskite: "If you read the blurb at the top of the screen, AIBU is not to be used for personal attacks - I'm getting very tempted to report this thread and have it pulled."

You are welcome to get the thread pulled, of course.

But pointing out someone often goes troll-hunting (and I'm happy to admit AF is not "always" doing it) is hardly 'slagging them off' or 'picking on' them. Do you really think 'troll-hunter' is a terrible insult? Especially in AIBU?

I've remained civil throughout, even in my OP. AF has held court and had people testify how wonderful she is. Why should the thread be pulled?

If "you read the blurb at the top of the screen," you'll also see MN are against troll-hunting. So am I.

OP posts:
Blatherskite · 16/11/2010 12:37

Of course this is a personal attack! You've named her in the thread title!

The way to deal with this would be to use the 'report' button to report any troll hunting posts to MNHQ. If they felt that AnyFucker was "often" troll hunting they would reprimand or ban her. Problem solved.

Starting a thread accusing her, in front of the entire Mumsnet community, of something that is quite frankly untrue is out of order.

And you have never explained how you can be 'new' and yet know she 'often' troll hunts either Hmm

AnyFucker · 16/11/2010 13:05

No, I haven't "held court", I have not tried to persuade anyone else to pitch in for me, I am perfectly capable of doing that for myself. I think it is inevitable that if you criticise someone personally, there will be a reaction...from the object of criticism, and from others who see someone being treated unfairly.

I too, have been civil, under provocation, I might add. I don't even know who are you are, and what your problem is with me.

Bearing in mind you have just admitted I am "not always troll-hunting" would you like to say what your real problem is ?

Hullygully · 16/11/2010 13:57

you are a troll hunter extraordinare you with your deerstalker and meerschaum pipe all troll-hunting like.

AnyFucker · 16/11/2010 14:11

Hully, I decree you a troll now bog off while I hold court on this thread, if you don't mind Grin

Hullygully · 16/11/2010 14:15
AnyFucker · 16/11/2010 14:18

this "holding court" thing is a bit crap though, there is only you here, hully

I am considering handing my badge back in

Hullygully · 16/11/2010 14:22

No I've gone, Ma'am.

Teaandcakeplease · 16/11/2010 14:27

So I'm afraid YABU....

& if you are new - please don't start threads negatively naming posters in the thread title - it's not very nice.
