To expect my dp to get up with the kids when i've been ill all night!

I've been ill since yesterday morning with a stomach bug, my dp took the day off work yesterday to help with the kids aged 7 and 3 as i could'nt leave the house to take my dd to school. I totally appreciate that he did this to help me. His boss was totally fine with him taking time off, he:s even getting paid for being off. He said to me last night if i was'nt any better today he would take today off too. I:ve been up ct least 10 times through the night with constant diahorreah and i'm absolutely drained. Anyway, this morning ct about half 8 my 3yo wanted to go down for his breakfast an he asked his daddy to take him down, he kept putting him off so i asked him if he was going to take him down and he said 'i thought i'd be able to get a long lie, i'll just go to work'. I explained to him that i'd been up most of the night and did'nt want to be away from the toilet for too long so did'nt want to go downstairs. I never lie in my bed when i'm ill but i feel so awful. So aibu?

No, YANBU. Am sure he thinks he has brownie points in the bank after yesterday but this is not the time to cash them in.

Hope you feel better soon!

So is he off today as well??

GingerGlitterGoddess · 11/11/2010 09:31

YANBU - so basically he was only planning to take today off as he thought he'd get a lie in?!?!?! How odd. Has he gone to work now? Hope you feel better soon

He is off today. He eventually took the kids down for breakfast ten minutes ago. I'm glad to see that other people dont think iabu. I thought i was maybe over reacting.
