I sent this to headquarters. If anyone wishes to support me great, if not well at least I tried

Hi there. It seems there is a certain amount of online bullying that happens on your website. Certain posters seem able to make very offensive comments and then either get away with it or if challeneged, they are viciously defended by their 'supporters'. I am sure this is not the culture you would wish to promote on your website and I feel tempted to report this elsewhere. I still believe that to say 'women who give up career choices they are stupid aren't they' should not be encouraged on your website where many SAHM post and do not wish to be labelled as stupid collectively. I would not make such sweeping generalisations about any group. Thank you for your time

and all was peaceful again in the land of MN

Sometimes wishiwas21again it is time to take a break from MN. When an anonymous stranger on a website can upset you, you have to remind yourself its not RL and go for a while.

I've done it, a few times. I know its stupid, I know it doesn't matter, but I carry it round all day and it winds me up in RL. I just get involved and oversensitive. usually when I'm lonely and bored and am relying on MN for company. It happens.

Frankly I couldn't give a monkeys what anyone on here thinks of my situation. Xenia's been banging on about the same things for years. I sort of respect her, but don't take too much notice. There's also too many people hide being their nicknames and shout "I'm entitled to my opinion".

Time to take a break maybe?

muddleduck · 03/11/2010 11:38

... and they all lived happily ever after (watching some shit tv programme)

GrimmaTheNome · 03/11/2010 11:38

SGB, you're late! Its all over.

ShirleyGunpowderPlot · 03/11/2010 11:38

Well done OP. Smile

GetOrfMoiLand · 03/11/2010 11:40

Bless you OP

Now, bollocks to the SAHM/WOHM rows, which supermarket do you use?

bbee · 03/11/2010 11:41

wishiwas21 again I agree with ohfor... It's what I've done. It's like in real life you just don't mix with people who swear and if you find some posters swear it's like tv I automatically slip an alternative word in or ignore it as best I can. Fully understand how you feel but unfortuantely that's the world we live in. Maybe you could set up a chat net where no-one swears otherwise they know it's the wrong place for them.

VinegarTits · 03/11/2010 11:43

ShirleyGunpowderPlot · 03/11/2010 11:43

abr1de · 03/11/2010 11:56

Honestly, sometimes your best friend on MN is the 'Hide' button, OP. That's what I do when I don't like the way a thread is going. Puff, it's gone, and I don't have to worry about it any more.

this is an opinions website. People are entitled to believe what they like, and if I dont agree I have the right to call them a knob. We are all adults and am sure you can take it as well as give it.

We dont need to be protected, we are not children!
