I sent this to headquarters. If anyone wishes to support me great, if not well at least I tried

Hi there. It seems there is a certain amount of online bullying that happens on your website. Certain posters seem able to make very offensive comments and then either get away with it or if challeneged, they are viciously defended by their 'supporters'. I am sure this is not the culture you would wish to promote on your website and I feel tempted to report this elsewhere. I still believe that to say 'women who give up career choices they are stupid aren't they' should not be encouraged on your website where many SAHM post and do not wish to be labelled as stupid collectively. I would not make such sweeping generalisations about any group. Thank you for your time

OP posts:

People on here who resort to name calling and nasty comments just because they don't like an opinion are very sad, ignorant people so just ignore them'

piscesmoon · 03/11/2010 19:00

Exactly MsKalo-don't let them get to you.

piscesmoon · 03/11/2010 19:03

SAHM V WOHM
BFeeding v Ffeeding
School v HE
Are all contentious. You either accept that you will be in trouble if you dare deviate from the norm or you keep off altogether.

scottishmummy · 03/11/2010 19:06

NinkyNonker · 03/11/2010 19:24

Seriously, when words on a website make me question/worry about my life choices I will be worried about myself. I/we make the best decisions for our families based on the information we have at the time. If others disagree, so what.

scottishmummy · 03/11/2010 19:38

aye, cold day in hell when i live by mn orthodoxy or advice of anonymous online names

TandB · 03/11/2010 20:06

Who the hell is Biddulph? Have been meaning to ask! The only Biddulph I know of runs a geeky rowing results page and knows every statistic about the sport that is worth knowing, and quite a few that are not. I assume this is a different Biddulph?

thefirstmrsDeVeerie · 03/11/2010 20:14

I am reporting this thread.

Its not about me. I can take the insults and being sworn at. Its the vunerable posters I worry about. They could be at a really low point in their lives and come on her for support and what do they see?

Me being told to Fuck Off!

It could tip them over the edge.

Nah, woteva Grin

scottishmummy · 03/11/2010 20:15

psychologist who peddles quasi-research that nurseries harm children aged under 3.his methodology and results are poor and badly interpreted

much loved by precious moments mamas and those who think child should be welded to your hip,and working is an aberration

he used to be pro-nursery ,now anti. guess it sells books?

TandB · 03/11/2010 20:36

Ah, I see. All those authors tend to merge into one mass of "yadayadayada".

victoriascrumptious · 03/11/2010 20:38

I wouldn't post on a website where everyone agreed with me.

To me there's something thrilling about having a debate....ney full frontal scrap with someone. I love it IRL and I love it on the internet.

Makes me positively moist. I don't take it personally and it's forgotten the next day...unless in cases where someone conducted themselves with tenacity and verve in which case I remember who they are and admire them from afar.

Why would you seek to deprive me and others like me of these simple pleasures OP?

scottishmummy · 03/11/2010 20:38

aye i just think jibberjibbercluck tills are a'ringing

Mumcentreplus · 03/11/2010 20:49
