I love cucumber, and even when I am feeling full, cucumber is just so soothing. I love it's watery coolness. Is there anything more refreshing?

Plus it is the only vegetable dd1 will eat so she has it with every meal! I just love it

Cucumber is especially lovely when it's in a glass of Pimm's. Mmmmmmm....

Goooooooooooooober · 02/11/2010 19:50

Toblerone is my favourite vegetable. The kids love it too.

YABVU cucumber is the work of the devil, second only to celery in it's evilness.

WastingAway · 02/11/2010 19:52

YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK

Cucumber and melon are the very works of the Devil indeed. Just the smell of them makes me retch.

Mumcentreplus · 02/11/2010 20:00

Hmm Grin

Bumperlicious · 02/11/2010 20:01

LOL @ toblerone Grin

I just love cucumber, it's one of the few vegetables I actually enjoy eating. I like or tolerate a lot of others, but wouldn't eat them if they weren't so healthy.

Melon, however is horrid!

cyb · 02/11/2010 20:03

Peppers give me the heeby jeebies too

mellicauli · 02/11/2010 20:05

1/2 cup cucumber 9 mg vitamin C
1/2 cup red pepper 142g vitamin C

I am thinking that the red pepper is the true winner..

GrandhighBOOba · 02/11/2010 20:06

There is a quote, I cannot remember exactly, so shall paraphrase a bit...

"A cucumber should be finely sliced and tossed in a delicate dressing of vinegar and pepper, and then thrown away as good for nothing."

Think it was Samuel Johnson.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 02/11/2010 20:07

I adore cucumber, I have some everyday with my lunch.

It's crunchy
It's juicy
It's soft

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Mumcentreplus · 02/11/2010 20:08

Beetroot...I'm sorry but there is something seriously evil about it...I think its the stain-level Hmm

Don't get me started on Celery...I mean it draws you in with the crunch and greeness and then it tastes like arse mixed with tyres Angry

Schroeder · 02/11/2010 20:12

Yummy cucumber, I really love proper cucumber sandwiches with white bread and butter and the crusts cut off. I could eat an enormous heap of themGrin

laweaselmys · 02/11/2010 20:17

Cucumber, salad, Brie and grape finely sliced with a little light dressing rules the world.

Inch thick lump if cucumber also great for slightly older teething babies.
