To be disappointed that we havent had any trick or treaters?

ds (5) went to a halloween party last night and has been v excited about trick or treaters coming round tonight. he tipped loads of sweets and lolly's into a bowl and has sat with it on his lap waiting for someone to call. he went up to bed really disappointed that they havent been. [hsad]

we were expecting them tonigt because school goes back on monday and there seemed to be loads of dressed up people around. [hblush]

Is there a pumpkin in your window? I only let my sugared-up monsters hit the houses that have halloween decorations up, so you know they're up for being fleeced for sweets!

Something to do with today being saturday, I was half-expecting a few stray callers tonight. Glad there aren't any (there are some fireworks going off right now though- 6 days early I can forgive, but why at 10:15 at night FGS?)

We didnt have any either, we had a halloween party and i think a few neighbours did too so costumes in full force here.

Looking forward to tomorrow, have my stash ready for them.

next door is having a party, they did ask us, but the wall is vibrating! its just ds cant stay up late tomorrow so he will mis them, i was hoping for a few.

dh has just come in from work and i moaned about the lack of ToTers, and he said exactly what you lot have... "its halloween tomorrow you muppet" [hblush]

I'd send them away too (if DD didn't intervene). It really has to be kept a one-specific-night event.

I never knew about the pumpkin in the window last year and no-one came despite bags and bags of sweets waiting for them and me in silly witches hat! My next door neighbour told me the next day about the dam pumpkin. Got one this year [hgrin]

Halloween is the 31st. Even if it is a Sunday. It is an old Celtic festival not just an American import. They will be around tomorrow!

i was just expecting some at least. ds has to be in bed early tonight because he had 2 late nights in a row and its back to school tomorrow.

Well the clocks have changed so it will be dark earlier tonight, so I expect the little ToTs will be out quite early. My DC are going at 5pm.

I would normally have sent all TOTs away but three boys in our street went on holiday this morning so I made an exception for them last night :)

I really hope we get some tonight as I have bought lollies especially and will be forced to eat them all if they don't come.
