not to know who the mumsnet heavies are?

I am quite new and keep seeing references to the mumsnet "heavies" on other threads. Am intrigued. Who are these people please?
"Heavy" because of strong opinions? Especially articulate posters? Nasty?
Or dos it refer to people officially involved with the actual running of musnet?
Please enlighten. I'd love to know who they are and why so called.

I have only heard of 2 of the list-haven't a clue who the rest are! I have certain ones that I like and certain ones that I know I will disagree with every word. If they are 'royalty' it is only in their own minds.
It is like someone describing a popular DC (as happens sometimes) as an alpha DC-utter rubbish!

Goodness - have just caught up with this thread as I was doing RL last night - who is jameelaq? I've never come across her/him before? How have I missed him/her?
