before she gets in to the office to avoid having to listen to her CRUNCH her way through the whole multi-pack like she has done every day for the last two weeks?

I can't believe just how much noise she makes eating bloody mints. It's non-stop and is driving me mad.

domeafavour · 27/10/2010 08:42

no, yanbu Smile

jumpingjackhash · 27/10/2010 08:49

Just done it! Will blame on the office cleaners if she susses! Grin

ForMashGetSmash · 27/10/2010 08:52

How come people are allowed to eat in offices anyway? They're not allowed in shops and factories! It's hideous listening to slurping and crunching...so no...YANBU,,,,HIDE THEM!

jumpingjackhash · 27/10/2010 08:57

Hee hee - someone else here has just been moaning about it too!

Cruncher will be in any time soon (although she is a bit of a slacker on the time front!) and will then proceed to slurp her way through her sloppy fruit salad and a couple of coffees, smacking her lips (eugh) all the way through. It's a bit of a ritual now.

I can't bear watching (or listening!) to people eat like that!

I have to say I agree with you. BIL is so noisey when he eats he drives me mad. He's otherwise a lovely bloke so I try hard to ignore him!

Can you make a joke with her about can you make a bit more noise when you eat, the other side of the office can't hear you!

Needanewname · 27/10/2010 09:08

Oh and let us know what she says!

jumpingjackhash · 27/10/2010 09:10

Needanewname - she's so tetchy that wouldn't help. She'd just make some snippy comment and then sulk (which actually might not be a bad thing if it shuts her up!).

She's just come in and is unpacking her tupperware... uh oh. And the slurping begins!

Reminds me of DH, who for some reason has to clunk hard sweeties off his teeth, rather than just suck them. I gave him the look last time, and he seems to have got the message. [hgrin]
I completely understand - it's the kind of thing that drives you to murder drink.
People not allowed to eat in offices?! What would we do all day? [hwink]

Poshpaws · 27/10/2010 09:18

Yes. Do it. I would, but that is because I cannot stand mints - can tolerate toothpaste because I have to and I like the herb but anything else...

Don't mind eating in the office - I am always doing it, much to my colleagues amusement Blush.

Chinwag · 27/10/2010 09:21

YANBU.

My pet hate is noisy eating! It's gross!

thegoodishlife · 27/10/2010 09:48

Does she keep running off to the toilet/passing wind? Polo's are a known diarretic, she must be near to dysentary if she's getting through packs a day!!

(sorry for the atrocious spelling...)

jumpingjackhash · 27/10/2010 09:51

*thefoodislife' - I do wonder what it must be doing to her insides

OP posts:
jumpingjackhash · 27/10/2010 09:51

Oops, meant thegoodishlife Blush

HecateQueenOfWitches · 27/10/2010 09:58

"Your polos sound nice."

So what if she doesn't speak to you? Bonus. Grin

jumpingjackhash · 27/10/2010 10:00

I can cope with her not speaking to me - she didn;t for around a week when I told her she couldn't eat some cakes we had waiting for a client meeting.

Honestly, she's pretty senior here but acts like a complete child when it comes to food!

Itsjustafleshwound · 27/10/2010 10:02

Oh Yuck!!

I was thinking the same thing thegoodishlife

redflag · 27/10/2010 10:09

Some man got the sack a little while ago for eating someones biscuits that were left out in an office, Ridiculous affair. Yes hide them tee hee

ThighsWideShitItsAGhost · 27/10/2010 10:10

Has she asked where they are?

redflag · 27/10/2010 10:12

You should start eating them and say "oh no these are mine love"

jumpingjackhash · 27/10/2010 10:15

Actually I have a packet on my desk, might suck them loudly!

OP posts:
redflag · 27/10/2010 10:19

Ha ha do it!

jumpingjackhash · 27/10/2010 10:20

redflag - reallY?! That's a bit OTT, surely?!

Thighs - not yet, expecting her to start looking for them any time soon, cos she's a pig and is constantly eating.

OP posts:
Angeliz · 27/10/2010 10:20

I broke my tooth on a polo a few weeks ago, they're lethal!!

ShowOfBloodyStumps · 27/10/2010 10:22

A multipack of polos? Is she quite well?

I can't stand noisy drinkers either. DH seems to slurp tea into his mouth, swill it round, gulp, smack his lips etc. It makes me apoplectic with rage.

ShowOfBloodyStumps · 27/10/2010 10:23

She seems to eat an awful lot. Are you sure there isn't a reason?
