OK this is a bit of fun, but at the same time i am actually struggling with it a bit Shock

I know a girl, known her for years, and she has a dp who is nice and normal, BUT they look like twins! Honest to god! they have all the same features, not similar the exact same!!!

I find it really hard not to mention it to her, I mean they are sooo alike!

Lol AIBU to ask my friend if she is sure her boyfriend is not her brother?!

Yeah I'd focus on something else perhaps.

Theincrediblesulk1 · 23/10/2010 20:09

But the resemblance is incredible!

laweaselmys · 23/10/2010 20:10

LOL!!

Probably not twins, on the plus side.

Maybe it is like pets and we all start to look more like each other over time

MumBarTheDoorZombiesAreComing · 23/10/2010 20:11

LOL, we went to a theme park a few weeks ago my friend and I and our DC's. They take photos on the ride and someone actually thought her DD and my DS were twins - we had never noticed it before but they really do [hgrin]. And DS says he is going to marry her - they are 6 tho [hwink]

Theincrediblesulk1 · 23/10/2010 20:11

Loooool! i would except that but no its not possible with them two lol I just wish i could stick her pic up on here! loool

phipps · 23/10/2010 20:12

It is quite well established that people often fall for people who look like themselves.

And do not put her picture on here!!

Theincrediblesulk1 · 23/10/2010 20:15

Not going to! but this is ridiculous, it would not be so bad, but her mum and dad were never an item, and he was a right party boy! had half the town we were from eeep!

OP posts:
phipps · 23/10/2010 20:16
Hmm
Theincrediblesulk1 · 23/10/2010 20:17

What does that mean? lol

OP posts:
phipps · 23/10/2010 20:40

I think it is obvious and also obvious what you are trying to imply.

Theincrediblesulk1 · 23/10/2010 21:16

Yeah! i said in my op! I would bet money they have the same dad! i really would! they wouldn't be the first coupe to find something like that out.

curlymama · 23/10/2010 21:37

I look oddly like my ex (dc's Dad). It's wierd, but not something we really noticed until we had kids.

I look a bit like his sister too, (his actual sister, I mean). She'sa few years older than me though, and back in the days of temporary passports, I used to be able to use hers as photo ID to get into over 21 clubs and to buy a drink when we went to America. It never got refused.

Theincrediblesulk1 · 24/10/2010 07:33

lol curlymama.

Tell her - see what she says Grin

borderslass · 24/10/2010 11:46

my niece and her DH look like brother and sister they've been told by lots of people its quite funny really as they have similar glasses as well.

piscesmoon · 24/10/2010 11:48

Lots of couples are similar. It is all in the eye of the beholder anyway. Some people tell me that I look like my brother, some people tell me that I don't look like my brother.Keep quiet is my advice.

Discowife · 24/10/2010 11:52

Thing is though.. it it were really a possibilty.... It wouldn't be funny at all would it?

UNless they just got together, don't mention it.

Theincrediblesulk1 · 24/10/2010 15:45

It really is a possibility and yes it is funny actually, through sheer embarrassment on my part, i have just been looking at her facebook and there is no denying it they have all the exact features! I actually feel a bit sick now, i seen them yesterday and could barely look at them.

OP posts:
laweaselmys · 24/10/2010 16:06

You need to drop this.

It's funny when you are joking.

It is not funny when you are implying they are related, and you will cause untold shit to rain down on you and them if you mention it.

Why on earth would you want to do that to someone you're supposed to be friends with?

phipps · 24/10/2010 16:07

Exactly. I would hate to see what you are like with people you don't like.

Lulumaam · 24/10/2010 16:08

of course you aer being unreasonable

wind your neck in, you want to cause trouble and embarrasment and that's just horrible

ZombieChickensHaveNoMercy · 24/10/2010 16:11

I look nothing like DH. Do people really seek out partners that resemble themselves? 'Cause, you know, that's a little egocentric.

Theincrediblesulk1 · 24/10/2010 16:12

Its not causing trouble! what happens if they have a child?! What am i winding my neck in for? its you who needs to do that!

Phipps ? Why?!

OP posts:
Lulumaam · 24/10/2010 16:13

I don't look like DH, him being a taller, hairy male and I am a short female . We do seek out, subliminally, partners at the same level of attractiveness as ourselves, i believe.
