OK this is a bit of fun, but at the same time i am actually struggling with it a bit Shock

I know a girl, known her for years, and she has a dp who is nice and normal, BUT they look like twins! Honest to god! they have all the same features, not similar the exact same!!!

I find it really hard not to mention it to her, I mean they are sooo alike!

Lol AIBU to ask my friend if she is sure her boyfriend is not her brother?!

you are basically going ot blow their world apart and do yourself out of a friendship by saying, you're related and the supposition for that is that your parents were never an item and your dad couldn't keep it in his pants

on those ground, yes, you need to wind your neck in

Theincrediblesulk1 · 24/10/2010 16:15

Fine i am being unreasonable then, i shall say nothing and when they have a webbed toed baby i shall come on here and tell you all about it then!

I am not actually planning on saying anything! But what the hell if they are!

I really love this place, full of placid lovely people!

Ah, now I can see that Lulumaam. DH is gorgeous Grin

phipps · 24/10/2010 16:16

Because you are calling these people friends yet you are just gossiping about them and laughing about the fact their parents might have had affair and they are actually sleeping with their sibling.

laweaselmys · 24/10/2010 16:16

You seriously think going up to your friend and saying, "your dad was a bit of a slag, have you considered your OH could be your brother?"

Is not going to be difficult for them or cause trouble?

Don't you think that his MOTHER would have said something when they got together if there was a big family secret?

You have no evidence at all, and plenty of evidence that people often end up with similarly looking people that aren't related.

You're shit stirring, and you know it.

Lulumaam · 24/10/2010 16:16

you start incendiary threads and get the arse when people give it to you straight? Hmm

you wnat to tell a couple you think they are in an incestous relationship based on nothing more than hearsay and pics on facebook

OF COURSE YABU!

Lulumaam · 24/10/2010 16:17

likewise, zombiechickens GrinWink

Shaxx · 24/10/2010 16:17

I know a couple who look like like twins. Its uncanny but they have exactly the same shade of light blonde hair, blue eyse and fair skin. Their features are really similar too and they both met at the same uni studying the same subject and have the same careers.
They grew up in different parts of the country and they both know their own parents!
It does happen!

minibmw2010 · 24/10/2010 16:18

What do you mean what happens if they have a child? Nothing, they are going out, they have similar features, end of. Do you have any proof or any reason whatsoever to assume they are related ??? If not, then drop it, you are making yourself sound mean and clearly not a good friend to either of them.

Theincrediblesulk1 · 24/10/2010 16:19

lol how am i shit stirring you lot on the rag or something!

Its not something i would ever mention and no she has not met his mum!

And no its not hearsay, its an observation!

What is with you lot today, get a fucking grip!

OP posts:
phipps · 24/10/2010 16:20

I don't think it is us that needs to get a grip Hmm.

Theincrediblesulk1 · 24/10/2010 16:20

Why are you all taking it so seriously?! Go away and come back when you want to have a bit of fun! fucking hell!

OP posts:
Theincrediblesulk1 · 24/10/2010 16:21

Loool yeah you do need a grip!

OP posts:
Lulumaam · 24/10/2010 16:21

you're really quite rude and aggressive aren't you?

this is AIBU, well known for straight talking

'are you lot on the rag'? how old are you? 12?

YABU, you are rude and i shall certainly be avoiding your bonkers threads in future

phipps · 24/10/2010 16:22

How is this meant to be fun?

You are insinuating that your friend is shagging her brother and you are pretending to care about their possible children.

Theincrediblesulk1 · 24/10/2010 16:24

So don't post to me then! You are all acting like Its all serious, like i could ever say to my close friend about it! So what if i am posting here! and yeah you are all acting moody as hell, going mad about a light hearted thread!

OP posts:
minibmw2010 · 24/10/2010 16:24

What is fun about asking whether we honestly think its OK to ask a friend if they may be having an incestous relationship? You are trying to backtrack now and pretend it was "just" a joke but clearly you meant it at the time. Maybe its your sense of humour that is warped, not ours.

Theincrediblesulk1 · 24/10/2010 16:26

No he really does look like her amazingly and its one of those if i don't laugh i will cry moments, i really am majorly concerned about it actually!

Why does that make me wrong, and a horrible friend?!

OP posts:
Theincrediblesulk1 · 24/10/2010 16:27

No i am not going to ask her, i couldn't but i feel i should actually! i am not backtracking at all!

OP posts:
Lulumaam · 24/10/2010 16:28

incest and a potentially 'web footed' ( your words) baby - really light hearted, well done you

laweaselmys · 24/10/2010 16:29

If you wouldn't make these 'jokes' in front of her, then they are not jokes.

You are behaving very much like a twat.

Theincrediblesulk1 · 24/10/2010 16:29

I think thats funny! as its said in jest, hopefully they won't stay together!

OP posts:
Theincrediblesulk1 · 24/10/2010 16:31

Oh name calling very mature!

May i suggest if i did make them in front of her, that would make me a twat! not the other way around!

OP posts:
ApocalypseCheese · 24/10/2010 16:31

Too many bloody lols ffs

Theincrediblesulk1 · 24/10/2010 16:33
