To feel annoyed by pregnants teenagers...

When they walk around with a tight primark style t-shirt that looks at least 2 sizes too small for them in order to wear their bump as an accessory?

And to feel even more annoyed when they wear a t-shirt that fits rolled up for the same reason!!!!

being pregnant (26 weeks) i still don't understand why this may seem appropriate.

So they're not 'thrusting' it in your faces at all then?

Why on earth does it bother you? Their bump, their way of dressing...

happiestblonde · 19/10/2010 22:31

yay biscuits :D I was running low on Ben & Jerrys

I'm too tired to put things tactfully. Good night all x

wigglesrock · 19/10/2010 22:33

Aagh head exploding, going to have to go to bed, as Valpollicella so eloquently said . Seriously when did younger women get so judgey about what their peers wear during pregnancy, save the judgey pants until you see what some people wear on the school run Wink

laweaselmys · 19/10/2010 22:35

Look, yes they probably are cold - and if they're clothes are too small a bit grim.

But why do you care? It's not you! If they want to look silly, so what. It's nothing to get annoyed about is it? Unless you're worried that they cause a negative I
impression of you? They really won't.

CardyMow · 19/10/2010 22:35

Yuck. YANBU! And that is coming from someone who had their first baby at 16yo. The phrase that springs to mind with these girls flashing their bumps to all and sundry is...err...cheap. I didn't do it when I was a pregnant teenager...and I'm even less likely to do it now as a pregnant 29yo. What's wrong with dressing to suit your shape, bump and all, rather than trying to squeeze into non-pregnancy clothes and looking like it's too much trouble to spend any money on decent clothes.

HoneyIatethekidsdragon · 19/10/2010 22:36

wigglesrock I saw the skirt and legwarmers on the school run Grin

do I get exempted from my judging or a big Biscuit

wigglesrock · 19/10/2010 22:40

No happiest blonde ate all my biccies. You get sympathy for doing the school run Smile

happiestblonde · 19/10/2010 22:44

Confused rolls about in wonderful judgey crumbs

HoneyIatethekidsdragon · 19/10/2010 22:47

don't roll in them happiest blonde, you get crumbs in your judgeypants then Grin

Valpollicella · 19/10/2010 22:52

I honestly couldn't care less what anyone else wears. Ever. If they're PG or not....I can't devote a single second of my thought processes as to whet they're wearing.

I wore my 'new found in my mum's shed DM that I've had since I was 15' boots on Sat am out and about. I had a minor wobble that they made my feet look big (well. They are given my height).

But d'y know what? I couldn't have given a fuck. Comfy, cosy boots...So what if anyone judged. Let them.

Didn't cost me anything Grin

ScaryMoaningArrrggghhhs · 19/10/2010 22:57

Eh/ I used to weat a tight t shirt when expecting ds3; I was 30, hardly a teen. Itw as comfy and frankly about the only time it ever worked on my stomach.

Goodness there's so much in the world to worry about!

HoneyIatethekidsdragon · 19/10/2010 22:58

I have 3 pairs Val, all kept from when I was a teen. If I had style my style would be

lovechild of a tramp and hippie who concieved me in a hurricaine.

So I have no right tp pass comment on this thread Grin

But I still draw the line at leg warmers and a scarf. Why have warm ankle ans a warm neck and nothing else in betwixt? It makes me all bosom hoicky and harumphy.

Valpollicella · 19/10/2010 23:02

Scary, I never even bought mat clothes. Apart from a couple of pairs of trousers, I wore all my usual stuff, combined with a few t's that were bought in a couple of bigger sizes. They were 'snug' Grin

isisandivan · 19/10/2010 23:12

oh, wait just re-read the post and realised why people may be confused about the tight t-shirt annoying me... it inst just because it is tight, it is because it doesn't even cover their bump...IE. their flesh is showing ( the whole bump of it)

Basically whats left is a top that looks like a boob tube and a bare belly. ( note, not beer belly!!)

OP posts:
Valpollicella · 19/10/2010 23:16

And if their belly is showing...?

Why does it bother you so much?

Valpollicella · 19/10/2010 23:18

It's flesh. Not porn ffs

HoneyIatethekidsdragon · 19/10/2010 23:21

As some one who loves pregnant bellies I am fine with them being exposed if it meant I was allowed a good poke and squdge and feel - but sadly there are laws about accosting pregnant tums so I feel they should be covered just to keep me on the straight and narrow.

isisandivan · 19/10/2010 23:23

well each to their own i guess...

DuelingFanjo · 20/10/2010 08:26

what do you wear then?
A big baggy shapeless T-shirt two sizes too big?

FindingMymOOOOOOOOjo · 20/10/2010 09:38

jealous? a quality even less flattering than a rolled up Primark-style tshirt!

JinnyS · 20/10/2010 09:40

Oh I wish I'd felt confident enough to expose my pregnant body but I didn't even like looking at it myself.

GetOrfMoiLand · 20/10/2010 09:49

They do it t oshow off their wonderfully taught and smooth skin to all those earnest and judgemental middle class mums wearing 'tasteful' maternity wear.

They won't get stretch marks like them, you see, being so young and nimble.

Good on them. I should have done the same.
