to wonder who the pink pants on my sofa belong to? They are not mine.

They either belong to the babysitter or my husband.

I wouldn't have thought of them being his, except they appeared near a pile of things he is taking on a work trip tomorrow.

I hope they are not my babysitter's because that would mean she has been removing her knickers, rather than sitting pleasantly in my house looking after my children.

I'm just imagining the "shit, shit, bollocks, fuck, shit" feeling BS will be getting when she suddenly realises she's sans 1 pair, and slowly works out where they are!:o:o

cece · 16/10/2010 23:31

We once found a pair of pants stuffed down the back of a radiator. Old lady, very faded pink with a bit of a lacy trim. Clean. Size 24 at least. A full brief shall we say. Shock

We still don't know where they came from.

Oh and I have also now marked my place for tomorrow's update. Smile

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 16/10/2010 23:43

am also intrigued and awaiting the update...

Tobermory · 16/10/2010 23:46

Dying to know who the pp belong to - hoping for everyones sake it's not the DH!

MoralDefective · 16/10/2010 23:47

THEY ARE MINE

MoralDefective · 16/10/2010 23:49

OOOppps ....sorry ,they belong to my friend....

TheNextMrsDracula · 16/10/2010 23:51

LOL at Penelope's knicker-swapping cats theory! Will log in tomorrow for the update.

Another nosy git bookmarking...

giraffesCantDookForApples · 16/10/2010 23:58

Yuno hows the tomato face, has it gone now?

Perhaps she is running a brothel from your house?

wrinklyraisin · 16/10/2010 23:59

Did your babysitter bring her laundry to do using your washing machine/dryer?

YunoWhatYouDidLastSummer · 17/10/2010 03:56

Roffle @ you lot.

Well dh did NOT take them on his business trip.

(And for the record, I think on balance I think I would choose to have a husband in frilly panties over a babysitter shagging randoms on my sofa while my babies are asleep upstairs - surely I can't be alone in this? Shock)

Babysitter doing laundry here is possible. She generally unloads the damp load and hangs it up, so would have ample opportunity to whizz her own load through - however, last night I noticed that the sheets I left in the machine were still there when we got home. She didn't do laundry last night.

Babysitter did her laundry at your house?

onmyfeet · 17/10/2010 04:15

Oops, sorry, didn't see your post OP.

CrazyPlateLady · 17/10/2010 07:21

Just ask her.

SoupDragon · 17/10/2010 07:37

Where's the fun in just asking her??

YunoWhatYouDidLastSummer · 17/10/2010 07:46

Actually, now I am free from middle of the night angst I think I will probably just ask her.

"Do you know where these came from? They're not mine."

OP posts:
CrazyPlateLady · 17/10/2010 07:54

Soup because I want to know. Grin

YunoWhatYouDidLastSummer · 17/10/2010 07:57

Well I have just emailed my husband asking if he knows anything about them.

You know something else that was ever so slightly odd? The door to the playroom was closed when we got back. It is never closed.

OP posts:
lowrib · 17/10/2010 08:01

I think just asking her is a great idea! However if it was me I'd make sure I asked the question in a way which made light of it, and didn't show any hint I might be, because some people's first instincts is to lie when cornered. If they are actually hers and she lies out of embarrassment / surprise you'll end up even more confused!

I would be tempted to actually say - look if they are yours I'm not angry I just need to know where they came from. Then, once she's admitted it ask how on earth they got there!

lowrib · 17/10/2010 08:02

Oops that said "didn't show any hint I might be cross"

YunoWhatYouDidLastSummer · 17/10/2010 08:04

Oh yes, I won't shine a light in her eyes and demand answers. I'll just ask casually because I'm confused as to how they got there.

seepinglumpymammaries · 17/10/2010 08:04

you might be reading a bit too much into this ..... perhaps they were a spare/new pair that fell out of her bag?

mountainmonkey · 17/10/2010 08:06

Wasn't there a thread about somebody's DH stealing undies from next door's washing line? Perhaps this is more common than we realise...
