to wonder who the pink pants on my sofa belong to? They are not mine.

They either belong to the babysitter or my husband.

I wouldn't have thought of them being his, except they appeared near a pile of things he is taking on a work trip tomorrow.

I hope they are not my babysitter's because that would mean she has been removing her knickers, rather than sitting pleasantly in my house looking after my children.

Maybe DH bought you a suprise underwear set and the knickers fell out of the bag before he got a chance to wrap them up to give to you?

natandchris10 · 16/10/2010 21:33

lol @ discobeaver..

well if you look at it from a different perspective..

i personally would rather the baby sitter be shagging on my sofa than my husband be cross dressing in pink knickers..

phipps · 16/10/2010 21:33

Has your dh said anything or hasn't he noticed them on the sofa?

YunoWhatYouDidLastSummer · 16/10/2010 21:34

Hmm... she was looking a bit deshevelled when we got back. And she had hardly done any ironing (she irons while she babysits).

Annh - yes, Sunday is not a weekend day here.

Dh didn't notice them. He's asleep now and has a very early start.

It is all a bit perplexing and unsettling.

I'm trying to remember. I don't think she had a bag. I really can't remember though. Yes, the bag thing is a possibility.

I'm off to bed now, I hope that the knickers end up being a harmless mistake left on your sofa by the BS.

As you cleaner, does she do your laundry? I wonder if she's been sneaking her washing in too?

sugarlake · 16/10/2010 21:38

Perhaps she is one of those organised sorts who carry spare pants in case she is hit by a bus or she has her period. Or both.

GoldenHaze · 16/10/2010 21:39

They sound sound like spare, period pants though. Too fancy!

phipps · 16/10/2010 21:40

You could ask the baby sitter when she comes and watch her face very careful.

phipps · 16/10/2010 21:40

carefully!!

YunoWhatYouDidLastSummer · 16/10/2010 21:40

I am going to bed too now. I already did go to bed but then I had to get up, sneak downstairs, turn the computer back on and post about this. I shall update you all tomorrow.

OP posts:
HippyHippopotamus · 16/10/2010 21:41

ooh, i like the sneaky laundry theory...

YunoWhatYouDidLastSummer · 16/10/2010 21:41

(they are not period pants. They are Shag Me Big Boy pants)

Next door's cat brings knickers/underpants/tights in the cat flap on his head.

My female cat has a resiprocal arrangement.

Neighbour and I swap undergarments in a jovial, none eye contact fashion on a weekend.

Have you got Cats ?

allhallowsandwine · 16/10/2010 21:42

babysitter is using your washing machine when you are out to do her own washing only explination i can think of. f'n liberty i say

however if they are near dhs work things and he acidently takes him with him the morning you may both become simultaniously mortified. Grin

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 16/10/2010 21:45

just getting on this thread.

SpecialC · 16/10/2010 21:50

looking forward to the update tomorrow....

dementedma · 16/10/2010 21:51

fascinating thread - I think BS had them fall out of her bag. lots of women carry spare pairs. How old are your DCs? could they have been rummaging in her bag?

dichotomy · 16/10/2010 21:52

Am I the only one wondering where in the world sunday is not a weekend day then?

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 16/10/2010 21:53

Well from the timing it doesn't soind like they could ahve been the DH's. And the OP doesn;t seem too worried :) So Im on for a gossipey thread.

Tippychoocks · 16/10/2010 22:03

Cou;ld she have washed her trousers with pants in then taken them straight out of a washer dryer and put them on, with the pants in the leg? Not that I've done that and had them fall out halfway down the road y'understand.

discobeaver · 16/10/2010 22:07

dichotomy - nope, I was wondering that too! Thought maybe it's somewhere glaringly obvious, so obvious it's completely off my radar.

Tangle · 16/10/2010 22:10

dichotomy - in countries that are predominantly muslim the working week is often Saturday to Wednesday or Sunday to Thursday

And that neatly marks my place for the update tomorrow :o
