I was just quite uncomfortable watching .

Morloth · 13/10/2010 13:39

Why?

estya · 13/10/2010 13:41

weird.
Especially as there was a major fire in their bolton site a few months ago??

kreecherlivesupstairs · 13/10/2010 13:41

It is odd and vaguely reminiscent of a funeral or something sad, but, not sure why it would make you uncomfortable. So, yes, YABU

iliketosleep · 13/10/2010 13:44

It is a little strange! Hmm

mamadiva · 13/10/2010 13:45

Along with everyone else, why?

I think it's suppiosed to signify how attached to their products the workers are and that having a burnt one is like losing something important to them hence the funeralesque atmosphere, maybe that's just me :o

Phrenology · 13/10/2010 13:46

That is brilliant, you need to get out more.

Al1son · 13/10/2010 13:52

Ok. Fair enough it's just me.

It just seemed like quite a flippant way to use a scene reminiscent of someone losing a child.

I feel better knowing that others don't see it the same way.

I'd love to get out more Smile

iliketosleep · 13/10/2010 13:54

Huh? Its a burnt loaf of bread.....how does that make you think of someone losing a child?? Confused

DooinMeCleanin · 13/10/2010 13:56

I think you are over thinking it just a teensy bit.

Al1son · 13/10/2010 13:56

Can't really describe the thought process in detail, sorry. It just struck me like that.

But if I'm just weird that's fine Grin

OP posts:
iliketosleep · 13/10/2010 13:57

If you cradle your white sliced like a baby then you probably are weird but otherwise, no your fine Grin

Greensleeves · 13/10/2010 13:58

rofl, I think it's greatGrin

jumpingbeans · 13/10/2010 14:00

I think maybe some people have a little to much time on their hands :o

Pixie83 · 13/10/2010 14:00

You are just wierd Smile

Serendippy · 13/10/2010 14:01

Did you weep when you found out that only 99% of Ribenaberries make it? That was very sad too.

YA, of course, BU.

BrainMash · 13/10/2010 14:06

I love that ad! Grin

It reminds me of the old ads for MacDonalds for their 'Hero Meals' where someone would shout "Nooooooooo!" before running across a car park in slow motion and telling someone they'd left their lights on Grin

Al1son · 13/10/2010 14:22

Serendippy I'll admit to being weird and being unreasonable (as is the judgement of the thread Smile) but not completely barking Shock (yet)

OP posts:
Serendippy · 13/10/2010 14:29

Give it time. What about the cow who has dreams of being a horse but who we all know will never reach her full potential and will have to go through life with a personality disorder?

(Possibility that I am already completely barking)

DooinMeCleanin · 13/10/2010 14:34

I get rather confused about the wheat that wants to be a McVitie Digestive. I mean who wants to be dunked in a scalding cup of tea and then eaten? Strange little Wheaty man thingy Grin

iliketosleep · 13/10/2010 14:36

I just want to de-ball the go compare man.

Go compare? go piss off!! Grin

SacharissaCryptlock · 13/10/2010 14:38

Al1son, I'll join you in finding it a bit uncomfortable. We can be odd together!

Al1son · 13/10/2010 14:39

That's nothing to what I want to do to the Meerkats! Especially as DD1 chants their slogan 24/7.

OP posts:
iliketosleep · 13/10/2010 14:39

Simples!! Grin

Al1son · 13/10/2010 14:40

Good to know I'm not alone Sacharissa!

Want to know why they mourn the loaf of bread but nothing is said about the poor half eaten slice of bread that is thrown to the floor at the start of the add??? I have thought about this, yes. . . . and it really hacks me off too.
