I was just quite uncomfortable watching .

Do you know I thought it was a bit insensitive to anyone that had had a stillbirth when I saw it too, not normally bothered by adverts!

It's really just some burnt flour, yeast and water (plus whatever mass manufacturers put in bread). How is it tasteless or offensive? It's building on the brand values of caring for their product and being proud of it.

It made me nearly cry as well. I think it's all the white coats, as well as the way the guy holds the loaf that makes you think of a hospital and a baby. I am sure it's not intentional, but I guess no-one pregnant or with a baby was involved in making it.

Um, sorry, yabu.

pigletmania · 18/10/2010 19:55

Huh, YABU. Sorry op you have ishoos. The burnt loaf looks nothing like a child Hmm Nothing wrong with the advert whatsoever, strange yes but nothing wrong with it.

choufleur · 18/10/2010 19:56

Good god. If you nearly cry at a burnt loaf of bread how on earth do you cope watching something like Bambi?

hobbgoblin · 18/10/2010 19:56

Hmmm now you mention it, they use Barber's Adagio which was my dear friend's funeral piece and so I have to tune out the whole ad or I will just cry. Since I payed attention to it in the first place due to the music catching my attention, I did notice the bread was representative of a child/something much loved and lost and did briefly think Hmm but I don't consider it tasteless.

paid

the bread, on the other hand...

Just joking, Warburton's is quite yummy even if it does have lots of sugar, salt, preservatives, etc. (Not saying it does but since it lasts quite well I assume it might).
