can we not start the "LOL=lots of love" movement? Reclaim The Lol?! especially as it is very funny when youngsters think you mean laugh out loud but in fac tyou're being mummyish. I was once a member of another baby forum (until i got banned ) and the thing they did there was WTF!!!???? after every sentence, especially if they were talking about their MILs/DH etc. Was far more annoying than a few lols.

I do get annoyed on Facebook by people putting random Ha!'s halfway through sentences and middle aged people Whooping, though that seems to have stopped now.

Although I sometimes do it myself (the shame) I get annoyed with the self-conscious blogspeak. ZOMG for example. I have no idea what that Z is doing there. Lolsob, although often apt, is just too aaargh for everyday life.
