Back in June I bought some low/medium heeled shoes from the New Look teenage 915 range (they fit me well as I have skinny feet/ankles/calves). I wore them to a restaurant... walked there fine no problem but when I got in I skidded a little on their (wooden? polished?) floor. On being shown to our table I skidded again and this time when I tried to 'catch' myself, my supporting foot skidded as well and I fell down very ungracefully and made a loud squeal... highly embarrassing and very painful (see pic on profile). My hip hurt all evening and I couldn't sleep on that side for several days.
I think the combination of the shoes and the floor were to blame. The heel of the shoe is towards the middle of the heel rather than at the back (if that makes sense?) so not quite as stable as other shoes. The restauranteur made damn sure there was nothing on his floor that caused me to skid.
So I have receipt, photos and am just getting round to typing a letter to New Look. Not unreasonable is it? Not quite sure what I want them to do about it now mind.
