Mitchum, smart solid deodorant for men (what's the difference for women?)

I bought two of these stick deodorants, the deodorant part fell off both of them, making them unusable, when I rolled it up, and no I didn't roll it up too much.

Anyone else?

Shock really oooeeeoooeeeoooEthel? Must take a closer look at my walls.

Asda's own brand tealights, rubbish wicks and only burn half the time of the Ikea lights.

Ikea bedding, awfully scratchy, looks ok but end up tearing it off the bed in the middle of the night.Angry

lilyliz · 11/10/2010 20:02

can't think of anything at the moment but I have found a new way of not cursing,in future I'll just tell folk to bobble off.

LacyLeggins · 11/10/2010 20:05

phil and teds vibe - expensive and has broken 3 times in the first year!!! :(

2blessed2bstressed · 11/10/2010 20:07

Now you see, I quite like Ikea duvet covers - and the ones we've got aren't scratchy at all - maybe there's something to be said for fabric conditioner after all then, eh? Grin

Agree Argos furniture - pants.

Henry hoover - has wrecked all my woodwork. I hate it, have finially got rid of the silly smiling goon.

Anything form Pizza Hut

Limelight · 11/10/2010 20:31

I've had such a shitty day and this thread made me laugh out loud!

I second (or is it third?) moonsand. The only way that stuff wouldn't go everywhere would be if a sealed child sized plastic bubble and an industrial strength Hoover were included in the box.

Jojo Maman Bebe wipes warmer. I mean, just, why?

domesticslattern · 11/10/2010 20:39

You know that feeling when, half asleep in the morning, you don't notice that half of your Mitchum solid deoderant has fallen off, and you drag it across your armpit and it tears half your skin off because the plastic is so sharp. AAAARRRRRG.

And it leaves white marks. It's a total lie that it doesn't. Hellish product.

Tokyotwist · 11/10/2010 20:50

Mothercare Disposable Maternity Briefs.

Bought a size larger and they still didn't fit. I mean my arse is not that big Wink.

Luckily I tried them on before the big day. DH then spent an hour laughing at my expense (they crinkle when you walk and look hideous) and I promptly took myself of to Tesco to buy some cotton size 14s.

ItsGrimUpNorth · 11/10/2010 20:53

The Peter Rabbit Organic Baby Food range for my pfb. What a total waste of money. Shite product. You boil up the pasta and it turns into gloy. I'm surprised my ds still eats pasta after that nonsense.

taintedpaint · 11/10/2010 20:57

Haven't read all these yet, but just wanted to say Toastabags are brilliant, so I've got no idea what you people have been doing to burn them! They make the best toasties EVER!!!!

Itsjustafleshwound · 11/10/2010 20:59

They should say fits MOST toasters - I don't have the ££££ to buy a multi-function toasters ...

DaydreamDolly · 11/10/2010 21:02

Spent a fortune on La Prairie face cream. Didn't make me 10 years younger. I was done.

nancydrewrocked · 11/10/2010 21:04

I must have really low standards because I love the following, now much maligned, items:

Ped egg - tell me you can get your feet smoother with anything else.

Mitchum deoderant - OK I go for the roll on but haven't had a sweaty pit in years.

Cilit Bang - grime and lime is rubbish but the power degreaser is great: cleans and doesn't smear so perfect on glass table and shower screen.

jazzchickens · 11/10/2010 21:06

Okay - here are the results of the one woman daft cow consumer panel

JML:-

Ped Egg - gross

Toastabags - burns the toast unless you have the toaster on a really low setting in which case you end up with just a luke warm sandwich.

Blue step - dangerous

bobbleoff - works but you could be doing something more useful with your life

Magic Eraser - fab !

Others:-

Cilit Bang (?sp) - rubbish and doesn't spray properly

silkymit - took a couple of layers of skin off my legs and left the hair behind. Grin

Mummy2Robbie · 11/10/2010 21:07

A juicer. What was I thinking? Couldn't even get rid of it on freecycle!

nancydrewrocked · 11/10/2010 21:08

Ooh I also love my dyson and silicon bakeware.

I do however hate Boots no7 Protect and perfect. Rubbish.

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 11/10/2010 21:11

No, GAP pj's are the best.

They fit my 2 slinky DD's the best of all, nice long legs and no extra flappy legs or arms, perfect.

They even have a special dance when a new pair is bought and tried on 'tis "The Dance of the Scrawny Rascal".Grin

LOL at having to remove a stick on bra with turps.

fireblademum · 11/10/2010 21:16

i agree with the gripes about mitchum solid, crap, falls apart and scratches ... then you have to clean the shitty bits off the bathroom floor. shame 'cos the roll on is fab.
vanish power foam does not get either chain oil or rabbit shit off a pale carpet
does clean coffee and red wine off ikea rugs though

SixtyFootDoll · 11/10/2010 21:24

Agree also with the mitchum solid, and I have done the scraping o the plastic over newly shaved pits, ouch ouch ouch.

My lakeland silicone egg poachers are crap too.
Silicone anyhting vastly over rated.

Tokyotwist · 11/10/2010 21:32

Spooky where do you get the crystals from?

I'm fed up of spending £7 on a tub of vanish and then having to re-soak my dd's white t-shirts.

BeccaandEvie · 11/10/2010 21:33

I'll agree about the magic mat (although mine does catch dirt), its supposed to wash and the edges of mine disintegrated in the washing machine.

I like my ped egg though.

OnlyWantsOne · 11/10/2010 21:37

silicone bake ware (other than cup cake cases)
any non clumping cat litter
asda anti bac "no odour" spray is VILE and makes me gag - and it stinks
