to find that IKEA ad really creepy?

Is it just me, or is that IKEA ad with all the cats creepy? It freaks me out every time I watch it. AIBU?

No YANBU. I don't like it, puts me off Ikea TBH. The music is weird. DS asked me who was hurting the cats as the music is similar to NSPCC ad a few years ago.

No YANBU - I HATE it. I really cannot bear cats, and so many of them in one place, skulking around - yuck! It makes me think that I must not sit on anything in Ikea anymore incase a horrible cat has walked all over it. Music is horrible too. Dont they have focus groups for adverts?

YABU - I love it! Cats are gorgeous.

The cats creep me out too. Too many of them. Reminds me of the birds in the Hitchcock film.

YABU. I love that ad. Makes me feel teary. And I'm not a particularly 'catty' person. The music is lovely.

Phew! Not just me then.

I much preferred it when they wanted us to 'Chuck Out The Chintz'.

YABU. People who don't like cats were probably mice in an earlier life.

It does rather look as though if the camera panned back a little, there would be the body of an old lady slumped among the EKTORPS with cat-sized bites nibbled out of her......

BTW.. the Siamese didn't jump, it was pushed.

I saw the video of how they made it.

they showed an owner with a big fluffy cat in his arms, the cat then launched it self into the air and grabbed the fluffy thing they have on the microphone it was dangling off the cats claw and the cat was looking VERY smug

Then they showed the staff erecting a wall to stop the cats going where they were not supposed to go and were told by an expert how high the wall should be to stop a cat from getting over it, the next shot showed them trying to retrieve a cat from the OTHER side of the wall.

I like the ad but then again I love cats

first thing i thought when i saw it was "bet that house stinks.

second thing was blocked out by a psychosomatic sneeze.

BTW the Ikea store used was the one at wembley

Oh I love it. So does my dog. To say she flies at the TV whenever it comes on would be an understatement!

Love the ad, but am definitely a cat person! All that furniture must be covered in cat hair though (I have just the one cat and spend my life vacuuming - have considered cutting out the middle man and just vacuuming the cat! )

I like it. I bought DD a tiny white mouse from Ikea and we have lost it . It can just be seen on the advert so DD thinks the mouse is on holiday. With the cats
Now I just have to get another mouse...

Makes me thin of sneezing with all the cats on all the things

I like it too ... so does my 7 year old DD, probably because it looks like our house .... cats everywhere .... except the furniture is in better nick.
