He's a millionaire on paper so can afford it and I've got to get my son away from his best friend.
He's encouraging him in all sorts of bad habits and I can't stand his boden wearing, chain-sniffing-in-disgust-mother. She always looks v uncomfortable a school whereas I've always got my shell suit on ready for action. Her son is s bright boy but cruises and is arrogant about his ability. Millionaire only has one grandson so surely it's not asking too much for me to expect him to leave his obnoxious offspring in the state sector and pay for private school for me? (I mean my son, obviously)

YANBU, I'm going to ask the woman at the bus stops's dog to pay DD's fees.

Fancy a swig of Buckfast?

Quattrocento · 07/10/2010 19:26

YANBU

Northernlurker · 07/10/2010 19:32

It's just not fair if he doesn't. My son is not in the top 1% you know and he wasn't in the top 1% two years ago either. I don't know how I can stand to get out of bed in the morning. Something Must Be Done.

YABU - don't you know you can rub your DS on pagwatch's leg on alternate Tuesdays - that should do the job - she's very charitable apparently!

Northernlurker · 07/10/2010 19:38

That won't get the fees paid though - will she pay them? Should I demand ask?

taintedpaint · 07/10/2010 19:42

Grin actual lol at this!

PaulineCampbellJones · 07/10/2010 19:42

I think you should ask before it's too late and your son rots his teeth from all that cola.

hackingandhewing · 07/10/2010 19:42

Probably not but she might stretch to a few cans of coke or 20 B&H.

unfitmother · 07/10/2010 19:42

YANBU,you've got to get away from that boy!

MummyBerryJuice · 07/10/2010 19:47

YADNBU. And while you're at it why don't you get ask him to pay for a new car also. You shouldn't be expected to drop your DS off at his new school in anything but themlatest and greatest.

I should have followed my instincts and realised that the state sector would be full of dreadful parents like that. Why did I ever think it would be different? The damage is done now......

MakingRisotto · 07/10/2010 20:09

Tell me, where can you get shellsuits from these days? I have struggled to find any since the end of the eighties...

Making - sorry I can't say. I'm sure you're lovely but if I told you and then you went and bought one it would be really embarassing for you if we turned up to the same event wearing one. I mean I wouldn't mind but I don't want you to be upset and they do only look good with a certain style and it's so easy to get it wrong (so I understand) so if you don't mind I'll just not say. They are vintage though - I'll let you know that much Grin Wink
SPB - am marching, marching - do you think this will help me guilt son's friend's grandpappa out of megabucks?

The Neighbourhood Watch lady across the road looks like she's rolling in it. I might tap her for some riding lessons for DD - much cheaper than school fees so she shouldn't kick up.
