Obviously not to playgroups etc, but I've got a baby at home and don't think I can cope otherwise. Is there anywhere we can safely go where there won't be lots of kids/pregnant women?

but would her stealing someone else's identity fit with what PeterPansMum wrote:

So she's feisty, likes a good debate and enjoys a bit of controversy - not unlike many mumsnetters i think.

For the record, I actually heard about her child's death via a close friend who knew her through work contacts then we 'met' on the bereaved mums thread anonymously before meeting in person... There is no doubt in my mind she is who she says she is and her daughter died... see Shabs link to Catherine's obituary. '

shabbapinkfrog · 02/10/2010 18:41

Very, very sadly I am not fake - just let me check the death certificates - no I really am in this large lake of treacle swimming for all I am worth and trying to keep my head above water......miss you boys xxx

deemented · 02/10/2010 18:42

Don't even fucking start on the authenticity of any other bereaved mother...

shabba - I don't think anyone is saying you're a fake and I don't think ppm is either. But I think it's easy to get a copy of a birth certificate of a child who has died locally :(

sethstarkaddersmum · 02/10/2010 18:45

oh God, I hope no-one thought that's what I meant by reposting PeterPansMum's post. Blush

I was 100% taking that at face value and trying to get my addled brain around whether PPM having met her after hearing of her child's death through a colleague would undermine the possibility of her using someone else's identity.

PosieParker · 02/10/2010 18:47

Whoa there!! Can't a troll simply be an abusive or horridly provocative poster?

ravenAK · 02/10/2010 18:48

Sorry. I thought 'sockpuppet' too. Sad

Awful business, whatever the truth of it - but above all for the breaved parents on this thread. Sad

catinthehat2 · 02/10/2010 18:49

I don't know.

I think that it's likely that Sassy did lose her daughter, and Catherine is her daughter.

But all of this is hard, no matter what. Because I wonder what happened to spook Avril so that she said she feared for her life: she is not normally hysterical..

And if Sassy was WWC before Catherine's death, then she may have had deep, significant anger issues ever before being beset by grief.. which I guess would make you much, much more volatile in such an extreme circumstance.

I read her anger as relating to Catherine's death, and understandable. And perhaps that is right.. and she had a jolly old laugh in the time of WWC and didn't take it too seriously in a more innocent time..

But whatever, this is harsh. And I am sorry that Avril got caught up in it and feel we don't have the full story here..

Susan has posted on her blog under the title 'Will the real SassySusan please stand up' r.e. MN's accusations, but she hasn't explained or admitted to trolling in the past.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 02/10/2010 18:52

MNHQ are you in contact with AvrilH as she seemed genuinely distressed? Or is she just a part of what seems a huge conspiracy to lie to vulnerable people? I am very confused but concerned about some very vulnurable people.

catinthehat2 · 02/10/2010 18:53

PP -

I am in no doubt that MN have evidence, they are smart and clued up.

I also have no doubt that however sick people on here feel, they would feel a whole lot sicker if this character was allowed to go on dragging in defenceless and vulnerable people for much longer.

I find it very hard to believe that the genuinely bereaved would return to a forum, from which they had been banned several times already, to express their grief and look for solace and support.
