Today as part of my work i had to go and file some papers with Court.

AS i arrived there were loads of papparazi out the front. No big deal. it's quite a major court and there is frequantly some sleb or other needing to do something minor.

anyway, filed my papers and went to leave but then i was told that actually no i couldn't. That i would have to wait a while until "ms Price" had been ushered in past the photographers.
apparently she had been called to court for somethin or other. Don't know or care what.

I was held there for more than half an hour. simply so that she could either pose for the shots or do the fake not photos please hood over her face walk in.

I was livid.

I have had a really busy day today and this hold up has meant i am having to continue doing yet more work this evening when i should be eating cake playing with my children.

AiBU to think that if you break a law as a sleb then you deserve the media attention and that in the eyes of the law you should be treated the same as every other tom dick or harry. that she shouldn't get special treatment simple because she flashed her tits a bit.

FGS if thats all i thought it'd take i'd drive round at 90 all day long flashing the speed camera's back

who made you wait??

i would challenge them on it....

GypsyMoth · 28/09/2010 18:54

oh,and YANBU!!

Gigantaur · 28/09/2010 18:58

it was the court usher/reception woman.

I thought they were bringing out a prisoner at first so was happy to hold back a bit (they can kick and fight a bit at times so best out the way)
but after a couple of minutes i said is it ok to go and she said "sorry no not yet we are still waiting for her to come through"

Now I certainly didn't want my mush plastered all across the 6 o' clock news but still.

Surely they couldn't have actually forced you to stay in there? What if you were in a hurry/children to pick up/were ill etc? Madness

Gigantaur · 28/09/2010 19:02

It very nearly came to that. this all happened at about 2pm.
I had another errand to run before collecting DD at 3:15.

She has been done for driving her horse box in a dangerous manner!

Gigantaur · 28/09/2010 19:05

how on earth can you drive a hore box dangerously?
especially hers, its enormous

Mowiol · 28/09/2010 19:07

That would have annoyed the hell out of me and I would have entered Grumpy Old Woman mode.
Could they (did they )actually physically stop you?
She's not even a megastar or anything - though they shouldn't be given preferential treatment either IMO.
Bet you a pond to a penny she could easily have slipped in in disguise.
I feel miffed on your behalf that you can't sit and eat cake tonight.

clam · 28/09/2010 19:14

I would have been furious too.
Like anyone cares about her! What an ego.

Hedgeblunder · 28/09/2010 19:17

She got caught texting whiledriving a horse box, stupid cow

MrsMadWriggle · 28/09/2010 19:20

"how on earth can you drive a hore box dangerously? "

presumably that's a typo for horse, not whore as I read it initially Grin

Gigantaur · 28/09/2010 19:22

Grin was a typo..but a good one

We can only assume she was texting through her annual feminist membership Hmm

She was on Traffic Cops the other night. They stopped her twice, for having an illegal number plate, and for having no insurance.

Hedgeblunder · 28/09/2010 19:31

No doubt well see it on 'what katie dis next-special jail edition'! Gag she's fucking vile

minipen · 28/09/2010 19:31

love the typo

Gigantaur · 28/09/2010 19:32

No insurance?
aren't they supposed to confescate the vehicle straight away for that?

She said she had it,but it hadn't been sent through yet, as her mother or PA or usually took care of it for her.
I think they gave her a few day to produce the certificate at a police station of her choosing, and she was able to do so.

Gigantaur · 28/09/2010 19:34

probably the only bit of true justice of that day verity Grin

Yanbu! Am astonished Shock.

Why are the frigging courts bending over backwards to accommodate a celebrity? That's not just mildly annoying its totally outrageous.

I'd go to the papers with this. Really. Or Radio 4. A media outlet which is not enthralled to her.

How fucking dare they?

I think I'm more angry than you are!

Gigantaur · 28/09/2010 19:36

That is sooooo not right.
If you are stopped for having no insurance and you claim to have it they call the insurance people there and then.

grrr. yet more reason to be pissed off with her.
