Today as part of my work i had to go and file some papers with Court.

AS i arrived there were loads of papparazi out the front. No big deal. it's quite a major court and there is frequantly some sleb or other needing to do something minor.

anyway, filed my papers and went to leave but then i was told that actually no i couldn't. That i would have to wait a while until "ms Price" had been ushered in past the photographers.
apparently she had been called to court for somethin or other. Don't know or care what.

I was held there for more than half an hour. simply so that she could either pose for the shots or do the fake not photos please hood over her face walk in.

I was livid.

I have had a really busy day today and this hold up has meant i am having to continue doing yet more work this evening when i should be eating cake playing with my children.

AiBU to think that if you break a law as a sleb then you deserve the media attention and that in the eyes of the law you should be treated the same as every other tom dick or harry. that she shouldn't get special treatment simple because she flashed her tits a bit.

FGS if thats all i thought it'd take i'd drive round at 90 all day long flashing the speed camera's back

Here it is. www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/3144478/Shy-Jordan-in-rap-by-TV-cops.html.

FAME-hungry Jordan REFUSED to be filmed after being pulled over on the Traffic Cops show.
Police spotted the model's white Range Rover and its illegal BO55Y KT plate, as she had been stopped weeks earlier.

It then emerged Jordan - real name Katie Price, 32 - had no insurance.

But when BBC cameras tried to film, she resisted, saying she was contracted to ITV. She told cops: "Can you sit here with me please? I don't want to be on camera."

PC Ray Dalmon said: "I was horrified this woman who earns all this money had no insurance.

"She explained she had new plates and her brother was going to put them on. She phoned her mum, who organised her insurance."

Cops told her to produce details to a police station within seven days.

You are not being unreasonable. Really it's the fault of the 'paparazzi', the Sun, Living TV, ITV3,Heat and OK magazine, and everyone who buys or watches this crap. If everyone ignored them then there would be no so-called celebrity culture, Katie Price would be treated in exactly the same way as everyone else, and you wouldn't have been inconvenienced.

Gigantaur · 28/09/2010 20:26

That would piss me right the fuck off.

edam · 28/09/2010 20:44

Silly me, I thought everyone was equal before the law. Clearly not. Daft celebrities should NOT get special treatment, that's outrageous. No-one should get special treatment unless there is a v good reason i.e. screens for vulnerable witnesses.

Pixieonthemoor · 28/09/2010 20:48

Totally not unreasonable to be angry about this. My response would have been something along the lines of this is a free country and I will exit this building when I see fit. This courty employee was just a receptionist not anyone with real clout like a policeman. Cant bear KP - utterly vile. And as for the comment about the horse box drifting because she was a woman driver, God give me strength.....

SouthernDad · 28/09/2010 22:04

£1000 fine, costs, and 3 points

Like she's really going to care about that ... Although she's apparently planning to appeal on the same technicality (wasn't told she'd been reported for the offence she was charged with within the requisite 14 days).
