I love "Grow up!" and "End of." makes me grind my teeth whenever I see it.

Both massively over-used on MN.

"AIBU?"... especially when the only acceptable answer is 'of course you're not!'

Aitch · 21/09/2010 12:17

i hate 'get a grip', i honestly think it's about the rudest thing you can say on here. Grin

nymphadora · 21/09/2010 12:35

Grow a pair!

wonka · 21/09/2010 12:55

'your dh/MIL/whoever is being a twunt...

UnquietDad · 21/09/2010 12:57

I hate "grow up" - it's so patronising. And "end of" is just teenage - implies you have had the definitive word and there is nothing to add.

Greensleeves · 21/09/2010 12:57

I adore "jog on"

SO crushing

never came across it before MN, but it cracks me up every time

Greensleeves · 21/09/2010 12:57

oooh, the one that makes my eyes itch is "man up"

so wrong on so many levels

Itsjustafleshwound · 21/09/2010 12:57

trip-trap and Biscuit

thighsmadeofcheddar · 21/09/2010 12:58

I don't really see it on here but I find "whatever" in RL pretty horrible.

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 21/09/2010 12:58

4

and Biscuit

UnquietDad · 21/09/2010 13:02

What do people use "4" for?

It irritates me on facebook when teens have to comment on bands' new videos and so on with just "1st" and "2nd" and so on. WHAT IS THE POINT?? You could at least say "good" or "crap".

Francagoestohollywood · 21/09/2010 13:06

My favourite is ffs

I LOVE 4

So rude

4 = who cares?

BootyMum · 21/09/2010 13:32

I hate "Do you write for the Daily Fascist/Daily Fail". It just belittles the person and whatever their POV was. And the person who writes this makes out that they are just so much more liberal, educated, modern, urban or whatever.

BelfastBloke · 21/09/2010 13:50

"If my DH did/said that, I would kick him out".

Oh really? Don't believe in working on relationships, then?

Anything where someone has called someone a Nazi - ie breastfeeding nazi or fascist - its so unbelievably offensive.

Fimbo · 21/09/2010 13:55

Not on here a lot but "get a life" is just so pathetic.

Bucharest · 21/09/2010 13:56

The popcorn, the biscuit symbol (see, I won't even use it to illustrate) and (not so much on here granted, but on other parenting sites its endemic) the tired old references to truckers which people still seem to find pantwettingly hilarious.

Appletrees · 21/09/2010 13:59

4

not 4 for the thread
4 for the favourite

Floopy21 · 21/09/2010 14:03

Simples.

A pet hate of mine. Never has it been so prolific but on MN.

Appletrees · 21/09/2010 14:05

I'll have another hate please.

I personally..

I personally hate that. As opposed to I, an unrelated third party, really hate that.

Appletrees · 21/09/2010 14:06

both this and that

instead of this and that

HowAnnoying · 21/09/2010 14:18

fuck the fuck off and fuck off again

or some such shit. Is really annoying, and people seem to think its sooo funny.

'Fuck off, there's a dear' or 'Do fuck off dear' is really patronising and not clever.

Actually if you want to tell someone to fuck off just say fuck off. Not all this other shit around it, makes you sound a right knobber.
