"Grow up!" or "End of." What's your favourite over-used MN expression?

I love "Grow up!" and "End of." makes me grind my teeth whenever I see it.

Both massively over-used on MN.

off you fuck

dons hard hat

gets popcorn

twunt

and finally (controversial this one) in the relationships section when anyone is having problems with their dh/dp screeches of "he's got NPD!!"

This is totally overused on MN and the way it's bandies about is really inappropriate. NPD is a serious diagnosis. People in special hospitals have it. Having worked with NPD a fair amount and had a brief year long relationship with someone who has it it's NOT something to be diagnosed via the internet on limited information. I'm not saying it's never the case but the truth is sometimes a lot more complex.

Rant over.

Grow a pair.

All of the others mentiooned too, but especially that one.

I'm not keen on Smile used in a passive-aggressive way, as it so often seems to be.

Don't let the door smack you on the arse on the way out. So pathetic.

Appletrees · 21/09/2010 15:54

Aitch -- fraid I must say one of the funniest retorts on here I read once was the first post after a long blithering highly self indulgent op. Twas brief but to the point.

Get a fucking grip. HTH.

ho ho

Ladyanonymous · 21/09/2010 15:59

cupcakesandbunting · 21/09/2010 19:24

I hate it when a reply addressed to me is prefaced with "sigh".

Fuck. Off.

MichaelaFinnigan · 21/09/2010 19:41

I really dislike 'boak' and 'vile' on a thread. Vile sounds pretentious to me and is over used. Boak just annoys me for some reason.

scottishmummy · 21/09/2010 19:53

i think wet boak is great.most apt.and had fair few occasions on mn to use it too

Tigerbomb · 21/09/2010 23:32

Jog on is one of my favourites. My dad used to use it all the time, my DH also uses it. I think it's a military thing
