I think a trim is a reasonable request. If he was asking you to get a full wax, that would not be reasonable IMO.

Shaving causes grow-back itch, waxing hurts far too much, and as for epilation - don't even think about it.

If you do decide to do it, be ready with the fluconazole/Canestan for the thrush that you will almost inevitably get, as the hair is supposed to help trap the nasties that can cause that and other minor infections - I had a lot of trouble with that!!!
