Unfortunately it's only cheap Tesco own not nutella, but I've had a hard weekend!

Not at all, why dilute the chocolate rush with toast? (Mentally picks up spoon and digs into own pot)

Paranoid1stTimer · 13/09/2010 10:32

No YANBU - but you are making me want to rush out and buy a big fat jar of Nutella now!!!!
:D

Cappster · 13/09/2010 10:34

I am doing that very thing right now

Highlander · 13/09/2010 10:38

ooh, what a top idea...... Grin

upahill · 13/09/2010 10:39

YUBU. It should be Lyons golden syrup not chocolate!!!

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 13/09/2010 10:52

YANBU - in fact that's a brilliant idea thanks.

YA most definitely NBU Grin

hmmSleep · 13/09/2010 11:35

Bother, I'm already late picking ds up from pre-school, now I'm going to have to leave house via the nutella cupboard, certainly no time to do anything other than eat some straight from the jar Grin.

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 13/09/2010 11:39

My DH eats peanut butter from the jar. Obviously, this is totally different from doing the same with chocolate spread :).

twinsplus3 · 13/09/2010 11:42

No YANBU, how else would you eat it? Grin

RedHeels · 13/09/2010 13:04

You eat it from the fridge or room temperature? I like it hard from the fridge and then bite chunks off the spoon...

cakeywakey · 13/09/2010 13:08

Not at all, although if you've dunked the spoon back in after eating off it, it would be rather unhygenic to allow anyone else to eat it. You'll just have to keep it all for you now Wink

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 13/09/2010 13:44

Okay. I've just stepped away from the spread. I'm feeling really grot today and am now considering a trip to the local chippy for more comfort food!

I noticed yesterday that my local (Belgian) supermarket has an entire SECTION devoted to different kind of chocolate spread!Grin I was a bit intrigued by the chocolate sprinkles for putting on bread/in a sandwich though.....

hmmSleep · 13/09/2010 14:23

RedHeels!!! Never ever put anything chocolatey in the fridge , never, never I tell you!

Sorry, feel quite strongly about this. Blush

threebt · 13/09/2010 18:05

If you put chocolate spread on toast (or in the fridge), you will not be able to tell what season it is, and will probably catch SAD.

Summer is here when Nutella goes runny. Conversely, when it keeps its shape, that is winter and it is time to put on the heating.

skeletonbones · 13/09/2010 18:15

Don't understand which you would spread it on STUFF it was surely made to eat on its own. I wouldn't spread ice cream, or a fine layer of buiscuits on toast or any other puddingy substance Grin

Flisspaps · 13/09/2010 19:07

A friend came round for tea the other week. After five bottles of wine between us we decided that chocolate spread out of the jar was a completely acceptable pudding.

littleomar · 13/09/2010 19:09

yabu but only because it's not nutella

SecretNutellaFix · 13/09/2010 19:11

not Nutella?Sad

RedHeels · 13/09/2010 19:17

Portofino - I wanted to say 'get you with your local Belgian supermarket'Envy but then I looked at your profile and you live in Belgium... So that's quite sensible to have a Belgian supermarket there...

hmmSleep and threebt - but in the summer chocolate goes all runny and I have to lick the wrapper to get the most out of it but if it's from the fridge then it can nicely melt in my mouth! Although, if it is a heart-felt conviction that you have, I won't argue...
