mamaloco · 14/09/2010 06:42

YABU to start a thread like that!
I had to stop at the shop on the way back from the school run and buy some Grin.
it is in the fridge nagging me now!!! (it is above 25 C here, I agree in the UK it is a crime to put nutella in the fridge Wink

MamaMtundu · 14/09/2010 06:50

YANBU, tis the only way to eat it. Choc spread on toast is yuk, yuk, yuk. Choc spread straight from the jar ...yum!

ben5 · 14/09/2010 06:54

yabu it's not nice not to share the jar! of to find some chocolate of any kind now!!

SarahJim · 14/09/2010 09:39

YANBU. According to the latest TV ad, Nutella's now a health food, containing 2 whole hazlenuts, some milk and cocoa in every portion. Perhaps they've changed the recipe? It still tastes the same.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 14/09/2010 10:04

Bastard!!

I forgot to buy some nutella yesterday!!!

Thanks for reminding me and no YADNBU Grin

Portofino · 14/09/2010 12:59

Mmmmmm

parkj83 · 14/09/2010 13:01

Yummy! My favourite :)

Peanut butter works well too ;)

SnowieBear · 14/09/2010 13:03

Takes me back, that does... I polished off a whole jar when I was ten. Right before being called for lunch. Needless to say, I was a brown bear later on in the day!

Portofino · 14/09/2010 13:04

Look! There's a special club!

kreecherlivesupstairs · 14/09/2010 13:15

Bleurgh. I am not a fan of sweet things, dipping your fingers in marmite is another story.
Belgo, I've done that being in a supermarket mesmerised by choclate based products thing. So far DD has sprinkles, white chocolate spread, plain choc spread and nutella. I don't even like it but she offers to make me something on a cracker so she can put her grubby mitts in a jar. Oh, and speculoos spread whatever that is.

Portofino · 14/09/2010 13:20

Speculoos spread is horrid! Along with Sirop de Liege.

Speculoos biscuits on the other hand.....Biscuit

mamaloco · 14/09/2010 15:00

I introduced speculos to DH (my DGM was belgian), he can't have enough now Grin

Portofino · 14/09/2010 15:03

Mmmm, I bought a huge tin of biscuits on Sunday - in a TinTin tin Grin. The Belgians do do a good biscuit. I am just wanting to at home now with a cup of tea and Escape to the Country!

pagwatch · 14/09/2010 15:06

I just went and bought a big thing of chocolates for me. I was so ashamed that I pretended it was a gift and got her to wrap it. I chatted with her about completely ficticious recipient
[shame]

mamaloco · 14/09/2010 16:08

Nonono no portofino no tea with speculos (that's an insult! Grin), coffee and if really belgian, cafe au lait.
It is very good dunk in red wine, try it .... Grin

hmmSleep · 14/09/2010 16:11

Pagwatch, I used to do that in Thorntons, can't resist their rum truffles, never went so far as to invent a sick Great Aunt or anything though! Now I tell them not to even bother putting a sticker on to close the bag, and start eating them before I've even stepped out the door. I obvioulsly have no shame.

mamaloco · 14/09/2010 16:16

pagwatch I have done that too Blush no chating though!

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 15/09/2010 08:13

Omg! I've created a monster! Grin 'nutella sales go through the roof after random chat thread'!...

DD had waffles with golden syrup and choclate sprinkles for breakfast. No wonder I have to peel her off the ceilings to get out of the front door in the morning.
