Portofino · 11/09/2010 18:59

yabu

HerBeatitude · 11/09/2010 18:59

Are you looking at me?

Are you talking to me?

AnnaAlHaqq · 11/09/2010 19:01

I think it's not hostile enough.
I also think you're a bit of a limp wetwipe to be posting this

SecretNutellaFix · 11/09/2010 19:01

Yes you bloody well are

Grin
spikeycow · 11/09/2010 19:02

Off you stuff and when you get there just keep stuffing and stuffing till you explode you caaaa

HecateQueenOfWitches · 11/09/2010 19:02

Sometimes.

But people shouldn't post asking for opinions if they don't want them.

Although those opinions could be written a little more gently. Grin

mumbar · 11/09/2010 19:04

ROFL at limp wetwipe Grin

NeverPushWhenItSaysPull · 11/09/2010 19:05

I think AIBU is like having a really honest best friend who will tell you if your bum looks big in that. Don't ask questions you don't want to hear the answers to.

HeathcliffMoorland · 11/09/2010 19:07

'I also think you're a bit of a limp wetwipe to be posting this'

Hey, don't knock the limp wetwipe. Wetwipes have never done you any harm (unless you have allergies, in which case, my sympathies).

OP posts:
AnnaAlHaqq · 11/09/2010 19:13

I'm upset that you seek to make fun of people who have allergies. My gran died of one. People shouldn't laugh.

I'm never posting here again

unfitmother · 11/09/2010 19:16

YANBU, it's mad sometimes.

mooncupflowethover · 11/09/2010 19:20

The whole of mumsnet can be unnecessarily hostile.

Alouiseg · 11/09/2010 19:20

It's far too tame, it's bare knuckle boxing when it should be naked cage fighting with medieval instruments of torture.

Flighttattendant · 11/09/2010 19:21

see this is why I posted mine in Site Stuff innit.

Typical you hostile beeeatches. Smile

mumbar · 11/09/2010 19:31

I always LOL at AIBU. Often you get a load of YABU and judgy then someone comes along with YANBU and an experience that backs up the poster. Followed by loads of YANBU Wink

Sometimes I have had YABU and stopped and thought and been very grateful for being told it before I opened my trap in RL and put my size 9's in it making it worse!!!

Can sem hostile but then you can't judge peoples expressions on internet and words can be mis interpreted.

Serendippy · 11/09/2010 19:32

Yes, YABU. Bugger off.

Serendippy · 11/09/2010 19:33

God, I love a bit of hostility after being nice(ish) to children all day! Was good to let that out Grin

Mowgli1970 · 11/09/2010 20:48

Where else can you receive the counsel of hundreds of opinionated cows empowered women in a single moment? It can be harsh, but I ignore the posters who disagree with me as I obviously know best. Wink

NestaFiesta · 11/09/2010 23:19

YANBU. Sometimes AIBUs are ridiculous, over sensitive, hostile and unnecessarily negative.

Like "AIBU? sick of people asking if I'm having a boy or girl- rude nosy interfering bastards!"

AIBU old lady said two kids? they'll keep you busy- ignorant cow! is she calling me a bad mother?" etc etc.

AIBU to hate it when other people breathe/smile/talk to me/give me a compliment/?

peeringintothevoid · 11/09/2010 23:26

YANBU!!

It's insanely inconsistent and overwrought.

"I think AIBU is like having a really honest best friend who will tell you if your bum looks big in that. Don't ask questions you don't want to hear the answers to."
Yes, but the BF is not in any way a reliable source of information......

I keep trying to stop coming here. Unfortunately I am a sad compulsive procrastinator with no willpower whatsoever. Grin
