NOTE: This is not meant to be offensive and if you suffered as a result of 9/11 you have my deepest sympathies it was a terrible event however it was caused.

Having watched a few documentaries on the conspiracy theories I am partially if not completely convinced all was not as it seemed. The fact that many witnesses that saw/heard things that didn't tie in with the official version have since died in suspicious circumstances doesn't help!

Conspiracy theories are bad for the soul imo. A lot of shit stuff happens in this world. Not always for a good reason. the worst thing we can do is live in a state of constant paranoia.

I speak as one of my best mates is having a breakdown accompanied by lots of talk abouit conspiarcy theories. It's just futile. It dosn't change anything.

I'm with prolesworth. After all who cares if the KGB, FBI, CIA or Alquieda caused 9/11. It was awful either way.

I love the "controlled explosives" theory, it's the most bullshit thing ever. Especially the reasoning usually given behind it, it shows a complete lack of awareness of basic physics.

a little bit confused about the fire man in the second tower finding a body before the secodn tower was hit - had the fireman really got to the second tower that quickly and got in and found a closet and looked in it? if you were going to kill soemone and put them in the closet - sense says you would then close the closet door - I mena people don't get into closets and then get killed - do they?

My sister believes this shit too. She sent me an email last year with 'PROOF!' which included a folded $ note, can't remember how much, but it looked like the twin towers when folded a certain way. She is fucking mental, I don't know you personally so couldn't possibly comment!

captain I think so, there was an article in the weekend paper the other week and hundreds / thousands of people are ill now . IIRC they think the potential number of deaths from the fumes will be higher than when the towers collapsed.

I don't know why 9/11 happened but I'm convinced things aren't quite as they seem. The most questionable things for me are:

1. The Bin Ladens being rounded up and taken out of the US while other air traffic was still grounded.

1. [ This video] which is the only footage available of the strike on the Pentagon, taken from a security camera. There's no way it is a 747 as claimed.

1. Architects + Engineers for 9/11 Truth: A large group of professionals who have very good evidence that controlled explosions were carried out including finding nano-thermite explosive residue. [http://buildingwhat.org/7-facts-about-building-7/ Building 7], the third tower to fall is a particular point of oddness as it was barely damaged and fell apparently without reason. It housed numerous law enforcement and intelligence agencies so a lot of potential evidence was destroyed.

Personally, I wouldn't put anything past the US government. They defend themselves and big business. I see it all the time here - the whole lawmaking and political systems are built around money and mutual backscratching. People's lives honestly aren't worth that much to them - hence the coverup of numerous health, pharmaceutical and environmental threats which have harmed thousands.

YABVU and sound totally crackers. controlled explosion? never mind the eye witness accounts from people at every level of the buildings.
Not an AA flight? every flight path is monitored. the flight was boarded, departed and the people on it died. ("not the way we think" - how then?)

I don't know about conspiracy theories but I have always thought it odd that there is no clear footage of a plane hitting the Pentagon. A building like that would have CCTV for every single angle all the time and yet all has been disclosed is the explosion itself, not the plane crashing.

There's one thing I feel; that this whole animosity towards the middle east is to do with oil as much to do with anything else. Capitalism is the bad boy there but we all know that. But then religion has a lot to answer for.

East is East and all that.

I suspect that there has always been animosity between the religions.

And conspiracy theories are important. Well, those with actual evidence. If you never question anything the government or large business does, who will?

Plenty of conspiracy theories have been proved true (carcinogens in soil, dangerous drugs etc.) Look how Merck and the FDA (a government regulatory organisation) covered up the hundreds of deaths caused by Vioxx until they were found out and ordered to pay out $5 billion compensation.

Money and personal power is worth more to any US politician than public lives - otherwise why are the streets around me flooded with homeless people and addicts that the government doesn't give a damn about? No shelters, no public health, no money for them.

That would account for the 'strange' deaths of eye witnesses then wouldn't it? Not to mention the fact that being there could drive a person to drink/depression etc...

I was an 18 year old shop assistant when the planes hit. Worked in a shop opposite Argos (you know the old style shops that had a wall of tv's) well I watched 4 hours of planes hitting, towers collapsing, planes hitting, towers collapsing... repeatedly. I couldn't take my eyes off the screens. Lots of people were just staring at the screens and not speaking. It really affected me and I do not know anyone involved at all.

CSD - Who is "the US government"? who is this cohesive force you describe? I wouldn't deny the role of money and backscratching but there innumerable conflicting forces at work. Lives not worth much - that is an outrageous claim.

Chandellina, I'm not sure if you're talking to me, but you should read the Architects + Engineers site. They're a large group of professionals who have examined the evidence pretty thoroughly and found several things that don't add up.

The thought that Building 7 at least was a controlled explosion is very sound - even if it was simply a self-destruct system built into the building to destroy evidence in times of war. (My dh is a very conservative security professional who usually has no truck with conspiracy theories of any kind, but subscribes to this theory)

American Airlines Flight 77 aircraft was a Boeing 757-223. 757s have two engines. 747s have four. It didn't look like a 747 because it wasn't a 747.

go to 1.22 in that pentagon shot - I watch three times and failed to see the plane in full - please if they wanted to show properly they could put it into slow motion to show far more - whay havn't they if the consprisey have nothing to hide?
