I got a pair from my mum last Christmas and I'm a ugg worshipper now, they're so ruddy comfy I could sleep in them!
I just don't get why they are hated on MN?!

I like crocks - haven't got a pair myself but use my DP's he's only 2 sizes bigger than me, I tried on a fake pair once and they were shit!

Converse - blimey, they've been around a long time but still look good am not personally bothered about owning a pair.

Uggs - they do look good, with tight trousers/leggings/treggings or whatever. Not good for wet weather though.

Wellies - uncomfortable, look shit, unflattering; they are however cheap and water-proof and kind of non-classist iykwim, all types of people wear wellies be they posh, poor or just very young.

What can I buy that is neither fugg nor converse. I have worn out two pairs of vans and a pair of superdry shoes over the summer. I need a nice flat shoe for the winter.

I suppose that really is totally down to individual opinion. I consider Kurt Cobain to have been extremely talented. Other people may consider Eddie Vedder to be supremely talented (I would disagree)

Then again, I remember wearing converse the first time around.

Now I just stick to my trusty Docs (I bought them as a student, they are still going strong - in fact they are older than most of my first years).

I personally have no view on Uggs. I think they look nice on some and odd on others. I don't own a pair myself but I do have a pair of suede boots I use for driving.

They are the only flat shoes I own. Apart from my flip flops. I spend my life in gorgeous heels (despite the looks of jealousy horror received from the frumpier mums (who probably disapprove of both Uggs and heels....)
