Bloody dogs and their stupid selfish owners.

We live in Dorset, and I don't really care too much if this thread is identifying.

Ds is really into nature and is very good at spotting newts, grass snakes etc.

We went to Thorncombe Woods the other day, where there is a lovely pond with tons of wild swamp life. It's always quite busy up there, loads of dog shit as soon as you come out of the car park, but it's really lovely once you walk on a bit.

Anyway, DS all excited about planned nature observation. but YET again, it's ruined because of bloody great dogs splashing about in the pool, and then shaking themselves over me and my kids, whilst their stupid owners sit and stare at them.

Grrrr

And there are numerous signs asking dog owners to keep their beasts on leads.

You're not at all realistic.

You're also not "sure" that other countries have laws that dogs must be kept on the leads "at all times" are you?

Get back to your daily mail.

activate · 04/09/2010 18:45

I had to read down to see why you were so pissed off at the nature comment - I can understand that your perspective is totally skewed by a horrific event with your own child

I think in your position I would also be a dog / dog-owner hater

so I'm sorry

but I still think the OP is unreasonable

CommonSenseSuze · 04/09/2010 18:46

What do you and animation do when your children ask to go to the seaside?

Panic and say "no" as there are seagulls? They're big and steal your chips.

What about the lakes? You know that swans can break a man's arm.

CommonSenseSuze · 04/09/2010 18:47

By "you" i mean tiredmum

pinkanimal · 04/09/2010 18:49

pmsl minimu [big thumbs up]. I have a dog and children and whilst I worry about some dangerous dogs running around, I do believe there is dangerous children around too! (mostly big ones but still someones children).superchick I hate yobs but they are still around hanging out in their gangs, terrorising people and attacking people. Maybe they should be on leads? Hmm

Tiredmumno1 · 04/09/2010 18:50

aint you the funny one common, i dont actually read the daily mail (sorry to burst your bubble)

i am realistic as france do have the law, so it is possible.

so go back to your joke book

Tiredmumno1 · 04/09/2010 18:54

And swan and seagulls dont savagely attack Hmm

what kinda argument is that??

CommonSenseSuze · 04/09/2010 18:57

That isn't the law in France at all! Dogs do not have to be kept on the lead at all times at all.

I love your version of realistic.

You are an idiot.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 04/09/2010 18:57

That isn't true actually Tiredmumno1 it only relates to certain breeds, we have similar laws here but different breeds.

To insist on all dogs being leashed in public is insanity and would very likely see a huge rise in dog attacks.

choufleur · 04/09/2010 19:02

Seagulls do attack savagely here

a goose nipped DS's finger a while ago to take some bread from his hand.

Maybe all birds should be tethered?

Tiredmumno1 · 04/09/2010 19:03

Namecalling again eh,

well you common are a twunt, at least i was corrected by another poster, and i got half the law right.

who the hell are you anyway

rollerbaby · 04/09/2010 19:14

Curlymama we have exactly the same problem. Seems lots of people don't know how to act.

CommonSenseSuze · 04/09/2010 19:40

"I got half the law right". Ha! Idiot.

Tiredmumno1 · 04/09/2010 19:53

common you are like a dog with a bone

GrinGrin

CommonSenseSuze · 04/09/2010 19:58

Oh, now that's just hurtful.

"I got half the law right"! LOL! Idiot!

Tiredmumno1 · 04/09/2010 20:02

At least i dont chase bones

GrinGrin

CommonSenseSuze · 04/09/2010 20:06

This gets better. Lol!

You know "half" the law, so in fact you don't know the law. So you say that i'm a dog. Genius.

Lol! Idiot!

EdgarAllInPink · 04/09/2010 20:09

partyhats · 05/09/2010 22:34

YANBU - I don't like dogs in fact I do everything I can to avoid them and I hate their bloody selfish owners who think everyone should love their mutts as much as they do. My parents live next door to a dog obsessed family they have loads of them, they are always in the garden and everytime, we open the back door, without fail they start barking non stop until we go back in. My children find it really intimidating as do I, so we just don't go out there anymore.

staffylover · 06/09/2010 10:45

partyhats......perhaps its the noise of your children that sets em off.......just a thought!
