SM you are right. She has had death threats. Apparently she hasn't committed a "criminal act"
so isn't entitled to police protection but apparently the PCSOs have a strong presence outside her home.
(I am local-ish to her).
Anyway the PCSOs are there to do with "public order" - lots of angry people have been to her address I think.
Not sure why cruelty to an animal is not a criminal offence but I have no legal/police background.
