I think that you lot are really uncaring and ignorant. I have read a thread where nearly all the mums have maybe a young girl feel unwanted and then went on to bitch about it.

I hope that your children become young parents so you know how it feels because you have some sort of problem with it. I think that use need to get a life and think about others. why not have a young parent section?

If it would help a lot of young parents relate to each other.

I think you all need to have a good look in the mirror.

OH by the way I love NETMUMS and the tickers Smile

Deakell - welcome :) I think you're going to fit in very nicely :)

Psammead · 24/08/2010 12:55

So, hang on, women en masse can be bitchy? Really? Call Sky News, we have breaking news...

There's as much bitchiness here as anywhere else, including netmums. Difference is that here it's normally quite obvious rather than being sneakily prefaced by 'hun'.

I have personally never seen bitchiness on threads where the OP genuinely asks for help or has a real problem. Most bitchiness is in AIBU where it is hilarious belongs.

sorky · 24/08/2010 12:56

Ahh we have a defector, excellent.

Welcome Deakell, I hope you enjoy

sorky · 24/08/2010 12:58

Fuck can you imagine what their Feminism topic looks like?

Does a parallel Dittany exist in the NM-land?

ShadeofViolet · 24/08/2010 12:59

Any bitchiness on NM is deleted very quickly.

I am sure MNHQ will be happy that Katie P is a tsarina and doesnt even come on the site!

missbeehiving · 24/08/2010 12:59

For some reason I can't find Pedant's Corner on NetHuns? Shock

Wanderingsheep · 24/08/2010 12:59

"you lot are really uncaring and ignorant"

Riiiiight! So all the threads about Christmas appeals and sincere posts on the bereavement threads etc. are just a figment of my imagination are they?

I agree that some posts can be a little harsh but don't tar everyone with the same brush, please!

Could people stop linking to NetMums! It hurts my eyes!

5DollarShake · 24/08/2010 13:00

I took a good look in the mirror this morning. My brows really need sorting. Angry

Do you think they want people to go over there and start slagging them off? not really Mumsnet style is it.

ShadeofViolet · 24/08/2010 13:06

I remember now why I left Netmums - there was a massive loody debate that raged on for weeks about ASDA smartprice sausages.

ShadeofViolet · 24/08/2010 13:07

What is the thread that the OP is refering to?

saltyair · 24/08/2010 13:08

love, love, love that NM post!!

They filter out swearing!!! Filter it out!

the 'raid' dwindled out in a very disappointing fashion.

sorky · 24/08/2010 13:14

I wondered if they expected people to 'raid' their thread Hmm

Not really our style tbh is it?

NOTE to NM'ers, must do better next time.....this attempt was utter shite....not even knobby, spotty teenager level

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 24/08/2010 13:16

Saltyair, you mean "piddles self laughing", there.

Do think of the children. Please.

CheapHawaiian · 24/08/2010 13:17

I'm confused, I haven't read the whole thread as ds is spitting his lunch at me I'm busy atm but I'm fairly new here and have never been on the receiving end of any bitchiness. The only time I've seen people get a negative response is when they've posted with a bad attitude which I'm sure happens on netmums too. I've tried to use that site myself but being a pedant the spelling and grammar on there drove me crazy!

TheCoalitionNeedsYou · 24/08/2010 13:22

ShadeofViolet - what was the dispute? Amount of filler allowed to still qualify as sausage?

BubbaAndBump · 24/08/2010 13:22

Help - old dinosaur mum here - what the feck is a "ticker" and should I put one on my Christmas wish list?

Loving wanksplash though, going to save that for my next barney conversation with my DH... :o

cupcakesandbunting · 24/08/2010 13:22

Really is the shittest interweb flashmob ever. Bless you for trying though, hun. ;)

Where is Scottishmummy anyway? I'd like very much to her her take on things. Grin

SirBoobAlot · 24/08/2010 13:24

"Mummies" annoys me too - though "Yummy Mummy" annoys me more.
