I think that you lot are really uncaring and ignorant. I have read a thread where nearly all the mums have maybe a young girl feel unwanted and then went on to bitch about it.

I hope that your children become young parents so you know how it feels because you have some sort of problem with it. I think that use need to get a life and think about others. why not have a young parent section?

If it would help a lot of young parents relate to each other.

I think you all need to have a good look in the mirror.

OH by the way I love NETMUMS and the tickers Smile

MrsReality - haha. I think a viscous insult is calling someone a "wanksplash"

shimmerysilverglitter · 24/08/2010 12:39

I think comfrotable may well enter MN legend.

gorionine · 24/08/2010 12:39

I want animated emoticons NOW!

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 24/08/2010 12:39

Oh, gosh, the first response to the OP talks about "taking the piddle out of" people.

Taking the piddle...

Oh dear.

I have to sit down and catch my breath.

StuckInTheMiddleWithYou · 24/08/2010 12:41

makes a note of "wanksplash"

sanielle · 24/08/2010 12:41

This is noteworthy one;

"i went for 5 mins and i am back..for good!

its sooo confusing and the writing is all small there is no fun & colour! x "a

Hmm Blatantly one of those people that didn't get on with Shakespeare at school because there were no pictures.

ShirleyKnot · 24/08/2010 12:43

Sorry. It's being here on Mumsnet see? It turns people.

SirBoobAlot · 24/08/2010 12:43

That thread made me laugh. The poor spelling, the clickers, and just how generally wrong they are...

See, thing is, I'm generally a bit younger than most of you lot but feel no need to have my own "section" to fit in to. A parent is a parent. And actually, when I did once venture onto NM (I know, I know...) and had a glance at the younger parents section, I had to get my 13 year old brother to translate the text speak. I couldn't actually understand what was being said, and what I could understand made so little sense. I never understand the need to abbreviate when talking online - its unnecessary and just makes one out to be rather dense.

TheCoalitionNeedsYou · 24/08/2010 12:44

They are right about Mumsnet being an absolute CUNT to navigate when you first use it though.

sorky · 24/08/2010 12:45

I do hope you stay, but I would recommend you stay away from Pedants corner hunni xxxx

"havin a laugh" is now my favourite hobby too hun

I

StuckInTheMiddleWithYou · 24/08/2010 12:45

Slightly serious point: Why do some women think that the best way to raise their children, is to act like children themselves?

That is what many of NM seem to be trying to do.

CheapHawaiian · 24/08/2010 12:46

I really, really want a throbbing heart emoticon.

And perhaps a throbbing cock for Fridays.Grin

CheapHawaiian · 24/08/2010 12:47

And can I set my location as 'in DH's shed, hiding from kiddies, having a fag'.

TheCoalitionNeedsYou · 24/08/2010 12:48

SITMWY - I think some people prefer moderated sites with clear rules that everyone can follow, like Netmums, and others prefer self policing anarchies like Mumsnet. It comes down to how much you like being told what to do.

pagwatch · 24/08/2010 12:48

I have looked on Amazon But I cannot trace Mrs Reality's Big Book Of Bollocks.

Does anyone have a copy?

I remain woefully ignorant upon matters testicular and a big book is helpful as my eyesight is deteriorating with age.
Thanks you

[hugs]

Poledra · 24/08/2010 12:48

CheapHawaiian I dread to think what sort of emoticon you want for Saturday mornings..............

(Bloody hell, it took me 3 goes to spell Hawaiian correctly Confused)

sorky · 24/08/2010 12:49

Is it just her?

bit of a piss poor raid really

TheCoalitionNeedsYou · 24/08/2010 12:49

Mumsnet is also probably better for looking at in an office as the sober colours would attract less attention .

Goblinchild · 24/08/2010 12:50

They can be fluffy pink bunnikins if they want to be. I'd rather be a fox. Grin

Goblinchild · 24/08/2010 12:50

Or a vixen.

sorky · 24/08/2010 12:51

we need a Shrieking Harpies smiley that's certain.

Goblinchild · 24/08/2010 12:52

Some people like the paddling pool, with lifeguards and exactly the right temperature.
Others prefer the open sea.
Why should that be a problem for either group?
