I think that you lot are really uncaring and ignorant. I have read a thread where nearly all the mums have maybe a young girl feel unwanted and then went on to bitch about it.

I hope that your children become young parents so you know how it feels because you have some sort of problem with it. I think that use need to get a life and think about others. why not have a young parent section?

If it would help a lot of young parents relate to each other.

I think you all need to have a good look in the mirror.

OH by the way I love NETMUMS and the tickers Smile

Square sausage!! Yes please, in a chewy morning roll with butter and brown sauce.

Pacific, are you a Scot?

cupcakesandbunting · 25/08/2010 10:55

Everyone knows what's in Lidl's tomate kitchip, hun; tomato water (37%) and misery (63%).

I did get some lovely peonies from Lidl for £4 which is a bargain. I know a woman who is very aspirational and she pronounces Lidl "Liddel". I love her.

PacificDogwood · 25/08/2010 11:04

Well, I am a Hun German, but lived in Scotland for sooo long. Yet have never come across deep-fried Mars bars

Brown sauce? Pickled onion? Fried bread?

Pioneer · 25/08/2010 11:06

Love it that in scottishmummy's picture there is a can of diet irn bru.....

Poledra · 25/08/2010 11:07

No no no to fried bread - fried tattie scone please. Do you have any dumpling to pop into the pan? (My English DH, while embracing Scottish cuisine with great gusto, cannot get used to the idea of, as he describes it, fried fruitcake for breakfast).

Obviously we needed 2 breakfasts, what with all the newbies...

Blush

Sorry

cupcakesandbunting · 25/08/2010 11:09

Scottishmummy doesn't show her face on this thread until someone pipes up about square sausage. Love it!

Next time you want to lure Scottishmummy into a thread, simply post about Irn bru/deep fried mars bars Grin

Pioneer · 25/08/2010 11:10

Please someone give me a rundown as to how this anti mumsnet thread has developed into chatting about lorne sausage and tattie scones? What happened to the OP? Please don't make me read 27 pages......

Pioneer · 25/08/2010 11:11

Agree with Filibear

cupcakesandbunting · 25/08/2010 11:12

It went via eggless quiche, omelettes, posh storage and linen, HRH The Duchess of York, whether Edward is good with soft furnishings, glittery wanksplats, lots of huns and this is where we ended up.

Pioneer · 25/08/2010 11:15

Pretty much run of the mill convo for us then Grin

RunawayWife · 25/08/2010 11:17

Mumsnet can be a beautiful caring place and give a wealth of advice and support to those who need it, However just like in all aspects of life there are bitches and bullies here, usually the same people over and over, but you just give them a pitying look and move on, they are clearly the ones with the problems.

Poledra · 25/08/2010 11:25

Yes, Mumsnet can be a beautiful caring place, but where the hell is Pacific with my breakfast? Not very blardy caring if you ask me.......

Do you know, I went back to Scotland on holiday this summer and failed to get myself either a Lorne sausage inna bun, a white pudding supper or some fried dumpling?

Why couldn't we have had this thread before my holiday so I would have made a list of Culinary Delights I Have Missed?

Pioneer · 25/08/2010 11:33

Can you get lorne sausage in the South?

You always get better chips (salt and sauce mmmm) and also better Indian take-aways in Scotland IMO.

Poledra · 25/08/2010 11:35

You prolly can, Pioneer, but you can't get a proper chewy morning roll to put it in.

And YES to salt and sauce on your chippy - 12 years Dahn Sarf and still resent this 'salt and vinegar?' nonsense.

Pioneer · 25/08/2010 11:36

Oh Filibear, do!

Just make sure that under no circumstances do you think about what ingredients were used to make it Grin.
