I think that you lot are really uncaring and ignorant. I have read a thread where nearly all the mums have maybe a young girl feel unwanted and then went on to bitch about it.

I hope that your children become young parents so you know how it feels because you have some sort of problem with it. I think that use need to get a life and think about others. why not have a young parent section?

If it would help a lot of young parents relate to each other.

I think you all need to have a good look in the mirror.

OH by the way I love NETMUMS and the tickers Smile

Oh dear.

It's not your fault. Don't feel bad. It's just that you are perhaps not entirely suited.

I could make tea? Would anyone like tea? We could discuss our differences with a Biscuit.

wornoutbutstillwonderful · 24/08/2010 12:19

Think is being done to try and wind you all up there is a thread on netmums about how harsh this site is. (sorry can't do a link)

ohforfoxsake · 24/08/2010 12:20

You could not be more wrong alfiescottsmummy.

MN is full of wise, caring, experienced MNers who will go out of their way to help.

When the sh_t hits the fan, they step up to the mark. There have been the virtual 'whip-rounds' which will send a bit of RL joy in terrible times, there is 24 hour support when you find out your DH has betrayed you, they will help you find a new house and befriend you when you move to a strange area and know no-one. They will become your friends in RL and bring cake. They will be with you when you go into labour at 4am. They will hold your hands when your scan is scary. And yes, they will tell you how it is.

Maybe its not for you, but don't bitch about it, move on.

ShirleyKnot · 24/08/2010 12:20

I agree OP.

Sometimes I want to just be held (on the internet) and no one here ever offers me a cuddle (on the internet)

The itching on here is just ridiculous and it just shows that old people are all cunts.

I'm glad to be of service, alfie now off you fuck. Smile

AbsOfCroissant · 24/08/2010 12:20

And, MNers tend to be very particular about grammar and spelling.

The word you were looking for is "you're", which is a contraction of "you are". "Your" is a possessive pronoun.

and exactly is spelt e-x-a-c-t-l-y

alfiescottsmummy · 24/08/2010 12:20

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME

I joined MN last night and this is my first post. I did this because there is a thread on NM saying what bitches everybody on here is. I couldn't resist taking a peek and actually, I think I much prefer it(so far unless somebody beats me up!)

Rather refresing to see straight-talking, no-bullshit responses and you can actually write as you speak without the fucking swear filter ruining it.

I'll be back!

"There's a lot of support for the use of accurate grammar and punctuation, which, if you are still in education, might be of some help to you."

Especially if you are still studing.

I used to post on NM too and what people do there is kill you with kindness.

But here you get flamed with a blowtorch :o

teaandcakeplease · 24/08/2010 12:25

If you didn't agree with what was being said on the other thread, why didn't you add a post and defend them?

No point in doing a thread about a thread.

Can you link the original thread for us, so we can see it in context perhaps?

I've been on mumsnet for only a couple of years but it has been a huge support to me as my marriage broke down and continues to be through ante natal groups, groups for lone parents etc. So yes imo YABU.

Btw you're only being pushed out because of your original post. Things never go well when people begin threads like this. If you disagree on a thread you read, post on it, do not begin a thread about a thread imo and you can report posts that are very offensive to MNHQ like others have said.

SirBoobAlot · 24/08/2010 12:25

Mynes jst gettin a drnk - voddie nd blckcurrnt, lol his so sexi, i luv him loads nd loads nd loads nd loads. x x x x

RooBear · 24/08/2010 12:26

What did you expect your thread would achieve? That a dawning realisation would come across us all and we'd realise 'yes mn is rubbish, I can't believe I didn't realise this, where do I sign up for NM?' and your welcome for our time, there's no need to shout.

Headbanger · 24/08/2010 12:26

Deakell welcum hunni LOLZ!11!!

I love Shirley

GooseyLoosey · 24/08/2010 12:27

I have no problem with young parents at all.

However, I do have problems with people who tell me what my prejudices are and how awful I am for holding them before I have even had a chance to tuck my feet under the table and ponder the matter.

Your age does not bother me, but given time to consider it, your narrow mindedness might.

Rockbird · 24/08/2010 12:27

Ooh I've come over all itchy.

MarthaLovesMatthew · 24/08/2010 12:27

YABU.

You don't have to post here. Or read the threads.

Why have you started this thread if not for an argument?

Your opener was "I think that you lot are really uncaring and ignorant".

And you have the cheek to say that the people who've replied to that are 'attacking' you.

Blimey. I don't usually get annoyed by stuff like this, but I think you've got a real nerve.

QS · 24/08/2010 12:28

Not your spelling, your lack of spelling. Grin
