We use them - they are a perfect size. However, we only have a couple because I only buy Nutella for Christmas stockings!

Shaz10 · 19/08/2010 20:30

Isn't that the point of them? Apart from licking Nutella out of them, of course. :)

autodidact · 19/08/2010 20:31

We always use them too.

KathyImLost · 19/08/2010 20:32

Yeh unless you're talking about the screw top jars, that's the whole point of them.

corlan · 19/08/2010 20:32

Not at all - it sounds quite classy.
The question is- did you clean out the remnants of nutella before you started using them as glasses?
(Mmmm - orange juice and nutella)

littleomar · 19/08/2010 20:33

nonsense, as shaz10 says that's what they're for. do they still have the cartoon ones?

SecretNutellaFix · 19/08/2010 20:34

We use them and must have about a dozen

They are a perfect size for fruit juice.

Ryoko · 19/08/2010 20:35

Recycling is good.

Morloth · 19/08/2010 20:35

That's what they are for isn't it? I have a few in the cupboard, not just for the kids either.

Tootiredforgodtyping · 19/08/2010 20:35

That's what you are meant to do surely? DD loves the mustard jars from france with the pictures on.

Clary · 19/08/2010 20:36

Nigella LAwson uses them for something similar...serving a posh dessert IIRC in one of her books - so why not?

I now have ten and am working hard on expanding my collection!

jetgirl · 19/08/2010 20:37

We used them at university, though we were very canny!

HecateQueenOfWitches · 19/08/2010 20:38

we use them.

Although we had so many of them we had to pack some away and store them because it looked so bad to have about 30 of them!

Definately NU - I don't buy it but my Mum does and she's getting a nice collection now :) Excellent for the environment as well :)

pigletmania · 19/08/2010 20:40

Just about to say that YABVU as I thought that it was the big screw ones that you were talking about, but the little ones that are like a drinking glass, no fine imo. I would do the same but have the big screw top type.

WoTmania · 19/08/2010 20:41

When I lived in France all my peers at chool had loads of them as glasses. I think they are that shape becuase of it.

I have just stacked some this evening. Also use dip tubs for play pieces and the like. (Only the cloudy ones - the plastic in the shiny ones is not strong.....)

sloanypony · 19/08/2010 20:43

I dont have any. I would not let such a product pass the threshold of this organic haven.

Now, there are a whole bunch of glasses in my kitchen cupboards. They have "Coke" emblazoned on the side. Apparently they were a promotional item from last summer when some kind of restaurant I was unfamiliar with, I think a scottish restaurant, would it be McDougals? McDonalds? Something like that. Anyway, they had a promotion on.

Anyway, there seems to be a WHOLE CUPBOARD of these glasses. They must breed, because I believe that this restaurant has only been visited a maximum of twice.

Strange.

clouddragon · 19/08/2010 20:43

we've always done, they're perfect

LackingInspiration · 19/08/2010 20:43

I don't buy nutella - how come they don't look just like jars then?
