I started with Germaine Greer, then was interrupted:

2: Jeni Murray.(womens Hour R 4) Does a good job putting the womens case on issues.
Asks all the right questions. Does not take prisoners. A serious broadcaster.

3: Kirsty young. (Desert Island Discs.)

Digs deep with her interviews. I was disappointed when she did Crimewatch. Seems to be hiding her real talent for later in her career.

4: Libby Purves. Midweek R4 and the Times.) A real "Mrs sensible" Very rational view of life. Brainy and forceful. Not too understanding of unambitious people. Who are often very nice.

5: Kirsty Wark: (TV Newsnight.)

Very impressive. Good interviewer, pushes hard but not offensive. Said to be good fun at parties. I will look forward to what kirsty does next.

More next time. They will all get promoted
(hopefully)

MQ is right gabby....

GabbyLoggon · 09/08/2010 17:12

Biog SARA COX. (Radio 1)

Very outspoken. Attractive, will bite my head off if she reads this. When she is older, the Beeb may risk her on Radio 2. Feisty Cox is the
name. Has Mr Moyles gone elsewhere? Or is it
hols?

Who are you..? are you the old woman on the Steve Wright show?.....

Sally traffic?.....she always sounds really stressed out to me

GabbyLoggon · 09/08/2010 17:20

SecurusScriptor well only you and those close to you know if you are honest.

But where did you get the upmarket nickname from? cheers

OP posts:
GabbyLoggon · 09/08/2010 17:25

I have not mentioned Steve Wright. DP.But I was on his show....once.

the mistake some nasty posters are making is that they dont know the difference between FACTS and OPINIONS .....Mumsnet is largely about opinions.

I'm starting to admire the bonkers nature of this poster. Quite possibly my favourite WUM.
Not even bothered with any other posters or trying to engage them, just mindlessly posting and then sitting back to watch them get more and more annoyed.

daftpunk · 09/08/2010 17:39

It's about both. For example, if you start a thread in the politics section about how Labours education policies failed children, people will expect you to back that up with evidence. You can't start a thread titled; "It's my opinion that schools failed children under Labour" because it's a dead end isn't it...

It's my opinion that I'm brilliant...but I can't back that up with factual evidence...so end of conversation.

Thought that brownie I ate earlier tasted funny...

AgentZigzag · 09/08/2010 17:52

GABBYLOGGON (MN poster)

Writes a lot of random threads with no aim to them, which I find bizarre, but on the whole entertaining. I think she might go far in the world of broadcasting. Cheers.

sapphireblue · 09/08/2010 18:57

Fuck I seem to have slipped into a parallel universe during DDs bath time.........OP what exactly is the point of your thread? Am I being unreasonable what? Do you genuinely not understand how AIBU works?

BreastmilkDoesAFabLatte · 09/08/2010 19:05

Why do I never get such a rapid stream of responses to what I post? Less entertainment value, I suspect...

SecurusScriptor · 09/08/2010 19:22

I'll tell you Gabby, if you tell me why you're posting in AIBU and what your question is.

Deal?

DuelingFanjo · 09/08/2010 20:23

when people use the ord 'lady' in this kind of context it sounds really patronising!

quaere · 09/08/2010 20:28

Is it art?

I had a print done on the post which gave offence. And I will keep posters informed if anything happens. I cant say fairer than that cheers.

I have also had a call from a journalist about it. That may or may not lead to a fun story. I did not realise journalists read these sites. How did he get the info?
