I started with Germaine Greer, then was interrupted:

2: Jeni Murray.(womens Hour R 4) Does a good job putting the womens case on issues.
Asks all the right questions. Does not take prisoners. A serious broadcaster.

3: Kirsty young. (Desert Island Discs.)

Digs deep with her interviews. I was disappointed when she did Crimewatch. Seems to be hiding her real talent for later in her career.

4: Libby Purves. Midweek R4 and the Times.) A real "Mrs sensible" Very rational view of life. Brainy and forceful. Not too understanding of unambitious people. Who are often very nice.

5: Kirsty Wark: (TV Newsnight.)

Very impressive. Good interviewer, pushes hard but not offensive. Said to be good fun at parties. I will look forward to what kirsty does next.

More next time. They will all get promoted
(hopefully)

Gabby...do you like football?

do you want to join the MN FF league?

daftpunk · 09/08/2010 10:47

If you do, let me know & I'll link you the thread...

GabbyLoggon · 09/08/2010 10:52

JEREMY PAXMAN (Newsnight BBC 2 TV)

I liked his rude interviewing at first, but I think it is passed its sell-by date.
I had several bits in newspapers suggesting that Paxo would make a good Director General of the BBC. (He did not get the job.)

Is he worth a million quid a year.? Certainly not, nor is anyone else. This is
TV license payers money which is being squandered..

Ganging up is never respectable.

Try and be your own individual selves;
not a clone of your mates.

And ABUSE is no substute for sensible debate

Try and find a site with something on you agree with. be civilised. try good manners for a change

YA still BU

daftpunk · 09/08/2010 12:13

Gabby; you put threads about politics in the breast feeding section, when people point this out to you you ignore them, you give no explanation as to why you do this? & Your posts can come across as someone who has just gone mad with the laptop for an hour ( multiple threads started etc).......you haven't even had the decency to say "thanks but no thanks" about FF.....

So stop bloody moaning about how people perceive you.

GabbyLoggon · 09/08/2010 12:17

STUCK IN THE MIDDLE WITH YOU

I have with regret asked the people who run the mumsNet sites warn the above poster of his flagrantly libellous comments about me..

I HAVE NOT ASKED FOR HIM/HER TO BE BANNED.
BUT THAT DECISION IS UP TO THE AUTHORITIES......THANK YOU

lETS PROCEED IN A SENSIBLE MANNER WHICH IS WITHIN THE LAW.

biog

Garry linaker (bbc tv..football)

scored a lot of goals. seems a very reasonable broadcaster> not flash. often gets a bit of mild bullying from his panel members> Takes it all in good paRT.So nice blokes do play football (what happened to chopper harris?)

OP posts:
GabbyLoggon · 09/08/2010 14:23

i think we should stick to expressing our opinions in decent, lawful language. Slanging matches dont work. They always end in tears;orsomeone being banned. try good manners for a change

"lETS PROCEED IN A SENSIBLE MANNER WHICH IS WITHIN THE LAW."

Let's not and say we did.

It is bad manners to ignore questions when put to you. So, I will ask again:

  1. Why is this in AIBU?
  1. Why have you included male broadcasters in your inexplicable list?
  1. Are you ok? Perhaps you could do with a sit down?
DuelingFanjo · 09/08/2010 15:37

Are you from b3ta?

GabbyLoggon · 09/08/2010 16:39

To move on by posting within the law.

Biog KEN BRUCE (Radio 2)

He sounds a lot like Wogan at times. A sort of low key Scot, with a dry sense of humour
Has been at it for years. Acts his age, does not try to compete with the young broadcasters.
Good at playing request records. Will Jock till he drops.

Do not feed the Gabby.

BreastmilkDoesAFabLatte · 09/08/2010 16:47

Er, Gabbbby are you OK? You sound a bit under the influence... or unwell...

mayorquimby · 09/08/2010 16:48

WTF IS THIS SHIT?

daftpunk · 09/08/2010 16:50

Gabby;

Ken Bruce is not female....

GabbyLoggon · 09/08/2010 16:52

Tethersend (probably not a broadcaster)

My subjects all work for the BBC. Is your problem that you dont listen to Radio regularly or watch current affairs TV? (I do accept that you cannot comment on broadcasters you have never heard of)
Multi posting? Mumsnet specically ask for that. They die without posters.Get it?

I broadcast a lot and get in many newspapers.
You have to know whats legal?

It is not apub bar at midnight; or a tanked football match crowd....There are rules of law and decency.
Whats all this on the MN in todays daily mail. I have not had timeto read it.
cheers

OP posts:
mayorquimby · 09/08/2010 16:55

What's with the references to legal issues?
Can't see anywhere that the law has been broken or even close to being broken?

GabbyLoggon · 09/08/2010 16:56

Daftpunk. Keep it up.Have you had a personal relationship with Ken Bruce? Dont be fooled by his beard cheers

OP posts:
GabbyLoggon · 09/08/2010 16:59

Come on ,Mayor Q...you are aware of libel laws and common decency laws. Slanging matches
only work between drunks and people who have nothing to say. cheers,

Grin Grin

hahaha you obviously know nothing of Libel Law.

mayorquimby · 09/08/2010 17:03

Yes and you are on an anonymnous website. An integral part of Libel law is that you must be capable of being identified by the published comments. As you are simply an anonymous Login you can't be identified.

daftpunk · 09/08/2010 17:04

I haven't had a personal relationship with ken Bruce, but I'd like one.. >...
