What is wrong with wearing socks with sandles?
In what fashion bible does it say this is a no no?
I wear sandles all year round (I have very hot feet) and in the colder days I wear socks
(2 pairs in the winter when it is very cold)
and I am jolly well getting fed up with people making snide comments

What kind of socks? Do they come up mid ankle or all the way to your knee? Do they co-ordinate with your outfit?

Either way YADBU - sandals are for wearing in hot weather, sans socks. Cold weather means shoes/boots.

sandles are not very good on sheet ice, I found that out 2 winters ago ,much to dw's amusement
