She has other shoes and the shit is embedded in the treads. Plus they will be too small soon and i was going to buy her new ones next month. I just really don't want to spend my evening scrubbing orange runny dogshit off them and then bleaching the sink.

I've done that before.

Goose poo in DS's trainers. Caked in.

Ilythia · 31/07/2010 20:30

What would your answers be if they were either

a - £4 from asda or

b - £32 from clarkes
i wonder...
i am a wimp wrt smelly stuff. I bought some jeyes to clean the kitchen recycling bin and am still lifting the lid and flinging the bags in while gaging. Bleurgh.

Ew riven, at least i could take her shoes off to stop them treading it into the carpet. They are still in the car tbh in a nappy bag.

I knew you guys would understand, dh is such a tightwad he'd freak, but then clean them in the kitchen and i'd have to clean it afterwards in case he 'splashed' it.

Bleugh. Again.

i would clean them

southeastastra · 31/07/2010 20:37

clean them, use water outside

or let them dry and bash out the pooh

bentneckwine1 · 31/07/2010 20:38

What kind of shoes are they? Could they go in the washing machine after you have removed the worst of it with a kitchen towel? I have done that with a pair of trainers my DS was sick in!

undercovamutha · 31/07/2010 20:41

I must admit I have a policy of never washing pooey pants during potty training - they go straight in the bin - life is too short.

But shoes? I think I'd have a go at cleaning them using the outside tap, some antibacterial spray, and an old toothbrush. Can they go in the washing machine?

pjmama · 31/07/2010 20:45

If you're going to chuck them anyway, I'd put them in the washing machine first. You never know they might come out all perfectly clean and dogshit free!

blametheparents · 31/07/2010 20:46

Sorry, but I would clean them.
Revolting job, but got to be done.
Outside tap

deemented · 31/07/2010 20:47

Oh you wimp you!!!

Get yer marigolds on and get scrubbing!!

Or do what i do and get yer manshape to do it for you

Bingtata · 31/07/2010 20:49

I would chuck them. I have done too. Yuck.

undercovamutha · 31/07/2010 20:57

Just remembered that when I was young, childless and had a lot more cash, I once got a new oven cos the other one was too dirty . SO I really have no room to judge you OP!!!

Ilythia · 31/07/2010 20:57

Havent got an outside tap. Or an old toothbrush. And they were 4 quid 4 months ago! A pound a month isnt bad.

Please dont make me clean them!

narna · 31/07/2010 21:16

My DD managed to get dog poo on the inside of her wellies-god knows how.I threw them out.
Go on ,do it ,bin em

PrivetDancer · 31/07/2010 21:29

Definitely chuck them. And ugh at the idea of putting the dog poo in the washing machine!

MmeRedWhiteandBlueberry · 31/07/2010 21:32

Put on some gloves and wash them. The age of the shoes shouldn't really be a consideration.

laydeestardust · 31/07/2010 21:33

Yuk -but yes of course YABU!

I sympathise though, its a very regular occurance where i live sadly.

clean them then donate them to Oxfam if you don't want them anymore.

MrsRhettButler · 31/07/2010 21:34

to all those saying put them in the washing machine.... eeeww don't you worry about the poo sticking around till the next wash?

i would and have chucked them

MamaVoo · 31/07/2010 21:35

Do it. I've thrown a pair of my own shoes away for the same reason (admittedly they were old).

MrsRhettButler · 31/07/2010 21:36

actually though, i do think that age of shoes and price do make a difference... £4 from asda and they would be gone even if they were brand new on that day... but £32 from anywhere and i would prob wash them outside in a bucket but not if they were nearly too small

MrsRhettButler · 31/07/2010 21:37

chuck 'em!!
