I'm a bit disgusted at a friend's FB picture showing her 3 year old drinking a glass of lager.

What's the consensus before I delete her? AIBU? I've already hidden her updates because of the constant swearing.

Chav gold, isn't it? Vicky Pollard meets Waynetta Slob .. LOL. Does she slug her MIL for an encore....? (YANBU)

ArseHolio · 30/07/2010 11:07

I've got a picture of myself drinking a pint when I was 2. It's hardly the end of the world unless the kid had been bought it's own pint. A sip, a bit of face pulling, a cute picture No Problem, vodka in a beaker delete away.

Callisto · 30/07/2010 11:07

Well, she could be prosecuted for it. It is illegal to give children under the age of 5 alcohol.

Other than that, I think it is chavtastic in the extreme and would delete her on the grounds that she is using her child as a kind of horrid joke. It's as bad as pictures showing children smoking etc.

Ewe · 30/07/2010 11:08

Imagine it's a joke?

You clearly don't like this 'friend' so you should delete them, just not on the basis of this one silly picture.

ArseHolio · 30/07/2010 11:09

Just go clarify, the whole pint wasn't mine it was my Dads.

bellavita · 30/07/2010 11:09

I have a picture of my boys sipping a cocktail I had when we went to the Hard Rock on holiday last year. Not the end of he world.

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 30/07/2010 11:09

I've no idea, her MIL is my aunt though. Every update was fck/waker/c*nt in every sentence, her updates are 100 times worse then some of the posts on here. A 3 year old drinking lager (you can tell it's beer), there's a bottle of milk in the picture aswell

It might be Baileys?

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 30/07/2010 11:12

Oh god, there's pictures of her with Jordan! I'm going to have to hit the delete button.

foureleven · 30/07/2010 11:13

It may just be a pose/ pretend drinking.

It may be fizzy apple juice in a pint glass.

It nay have been taken by an irresponsible member of the family and the mother herself would never let it happen.

Even if 3 year old is sipping beer, its not going to kill her.

I say they are her facebook pics and leave her to it.

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 30/07/2010 11:13

It's not baileys, it's straw coloured with a foamy top. The milk in the baby bottle could have been Baileys though.

It's illegal and dangerous to give small children alcohol.

VinegarTits · 30/07/2010 11:17

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 30/07/2010 11:18

Tis evil. Good for keeping in touch with friends though, she's a relative.

lal123 · 30/07/2010 11:18

Oh fgs - doesn't everyone have a picture like this??? We've got a few of DD1 - PRETENDING to drink from a huge beer glass.

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 30/07/2010 11:19

A snob? Do you let your 3 year old drink beer?

pagwatch · 30/07/2010 11:19

I have a picture of my DS1 sipping champagne on his first birthday.
So shoot me

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 30/07/2010 11:20

The picture's worse then the Jordan pictures.

OP posts:
VinegarTits · 30/07/2010 11:22

delete her then, your obviously looking for any excuse

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 30/07/2010 11:23

righto.

I'm not surprised the UK has such a problem with alcohol if it's seen as a joke. It's not funny to see small children drinking beer, I bet the adults laugh and turn it into a joke. Older children having a sip is OK, they need to learn how to drink responsibly, alcohol isn't a joke though.

Have picture of DS at 8 months pretending to drink beer from bottle whilst wearing fishersman's hat and sunglasses, Liam Gallagher-stylee. No beer was partaken.

Chooks · 30/07/2010 11:25

Is it as funny to get a picture of toddlers pretending to smoke too? What about if it's a spliff...perhaps a line of coke?

Really distasteful IMO, I would delete her, especailly if your hiding posts from her anyway.
