The meter reader just came round and I'm really frightened and horrified by what he said - I was in kitchen washing up so could hear eveything he was saying to DP.. Went like this
'ooh I tell you what you'd love this job, sometimes you get 25 year olds in towels.. This bird the other day was reallllly impressive big boobs gesture and I saw eeeeverything she just slipped her towel phwoooar'

then..

'and one time I was checking a meter in a cupboard- this 25 year old blonde is stood right behind me and I could see riiiight up her skirt, pink knickers and everything- wish I had a hidden camera harharhar'

I'm just utterly utterly disgusted and worried, dp often works away for weeks at a time - there's no way I can let him in if I'm on my own.
Wanker.

I'd be straight on the phone to complain. You're right, completely inappropriate. What if you had kids around?!

Booboobedoo · 28/07/2010 14:07

Call the company and complain.

I would in a heartbeat.

sweetnitanitro · 28/07/2010 14:08

Bloody hell! I would put in a complaint, there's no way I'd want someone like that coming round if I was home alone. YANBU.

AnyFucker · 28/07/2010 14:08

if this is real, just don't answer the door

or complain about him to the company

either way, you don't have to be frightened...I am presuming you are a mature, married lady, after all

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 28/07/2010 14:08

Ewwwwww. Complain. Definitely, definitely complain. Yuck. I'm shuddering and doing a cats bum face in sympathy.

shockers · 28/07/2010 14:12

What a pillock... hope your DP put him straight.

proudnsad · 28/07/2010 14:14

'If this is real' - quite AF.

ladysybil · 28/07/2010 14:15

i had a milkman make inappropriate jokes once. we havent used him in 8 years now. and wont be either. i wish i had the guts to actually complain to the company, rather than just stop giving them my custom

stepmumtoone · 28/07/2010 14:16

i wouldn't be not frightened but i would complain!

AgentProvocateur · 28/07/2010 14:17

He sounds more young and stupid than perverse, TBH. Inappropriate, yes - but maybe he thought your DH would appreciate the laddish tone. It seems a bit of an over-reaction to be frightened. He'd probably lose his job if you complained. What did your DH say to him after he'd said that? Did he laugh along or tell him he was out of order?

ShatnersBassoon · 28/07/2010 14:17

How sad that someone would have to make up these fantasies and share them with complete strangers. How perverse.

LimaCharlie · 28/07/2010 14:18

Don't feel frightened - complain - thats the only way something will be done about him

GothAnneGeddes · 28/07/2010 14:23

To make remarks like that (about hidden cameras particularly) to a strange woman is very creepy and odd indeed. Complain asap and ask for a response in writing within 5 working days.

Paperdenim · 28/07/2010 14:23

It is real!!!
He even said that this girl who's skirt he looked at caught him and he was proper worried shed put ina complaint. I'm sososososo angry my hands are shaking. I just can't believe what he said!! Grrrrrrrr- female customers of eon in south Manchester - his name was Mark around mid 40's, I would ne'er let him in your house.

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 28/07/2010 14:25

this totally sounds like the sexual fantasies of someone who likes 25yo girls in short skirts

and yes, OP, I am talking about you

pagwatch · 28/07/2010 14:32

I don't understand.
If the meter reader said stuff like that to my DH he would say 'are you for real? Would you like to call your office and tell them that you are in my home being a total wanker, it will save me having to look up the number'
What did your DP do OP?

Paperdenim · 28/07/2010 14:34

Don't be mean anyfucker - I'm not that old an I'm not married, I got attacked last year and I still find it very difficult to not shake when men shout stuff or make suggestive comments at me. I'm not a troll or some depraved idiot. I usually hang around the relationships and chat thread- I recognise your name from other threads i commented on so lay off a bit :D

OP posts:
pagwatch · 28/07/2010 14:35

but why was your DH standing there and letting him say that stuff? Please explain because I really don't get it at all..

Paperdenim · 28/07/2010 14:35

DP just stood there with his mouth open- came into kitchen when he left and said 'did that just fucking happen?!?!?!'

OP posts:
pagwatch · 28/07/2010 14:37

X posted.

Ok. I am afraid I think your DH was pretty pathetic really.
I would phone and complain.

prozacfairy · 28/07/2010 14:38

I'd complain. Actually no, I'd have kicked him out and then got on the phone to have a whinge.

Dirty old git!

OrmRenewed · 28/07/2010 14:39

Yuck! Twat.

Paperdenim · 28/07/2010 14:39

He was just shocked I think.. Jesus Its not his fault!

OP posts:
prozacfairy · 28/07/2010 14:42

Agree with pagwatch. If your DH knows this kind of shit talk upsets you and makes you uncomfortable he should have told him where to go.

By standing there giving this twat a captive audience he's bascially saying it's ok to talk that way in a client's home- but it bloody isn't!

Chil1234 · 28/07/2010 14:42

LOL. The man must be channelling Benny Hill..... complain vigorously!!!
