It has got to be the worst restaurant on earth.

And it's not even cheap.

Vile food, and every 20 mins the lights dim and 'happy birthday' gets sung out the loudspeakers.

It's up there with Harvester and Bella Pasta in my opinion.

YANBU it is a totally scary place and expensive for what its worth!

notnowbernard · 26/07/2010 11:54

Never been

Won't be heading there either

BelligerentGhoul · 26/07/2010 11:56

Dp and dd2 really like F&B's - I can't stand it. So if dd1 and I go to London, dp and dd2 stay here and go to F&B's - weirdos.

withorwithoutyou · 26/07/2010 11:57

Never been. Whats wrong with bella pasta? I havent been in one of them r years.

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 26/07/2010 11:58

Everything that place sells is based around the same tomato puree stuff. The tomato soup is just the same stuff as the pizza sauce/bolognese sauce. It's only redeeming feature is the cheesecake, because they have yet to find a way of using the tomato puree stuff as a coulis.

GothAnneGeddes · 26/07/2010 11:58

I like it and think the puddings are nice too! So there.

ShirleyKnot · 26/07/2010 11:58

The hot wings are the only good thing about the place.

HOT WINGS.

Everthing else is shite.

I think it's v expensive for what it is - would far rather go for a curry. And the menu is crap for veggies.

chocolatefroggie · 26/07/2010 12:01

@ Chickenshavenoeyebrows

GetOrfMoiLand · 26/07/2010 12:02

It is expensive for a pile of crap. £14 for a inedible steak? No thanks.

We HAD to go there a couple of months ago as SIL thinks it is the bees knees. Was sat there festering at the vileness of it.

Funny, I can't stand Harvester and Bella Pasta but our local F&B is not bad! Granted, I wouldn't go in there without kids, but both DC love it so we go occasionally.

The staff are usually pleasant and if you stick with the basics (thin crust pizza), it's not bad at all!

Doodleydoo · 26/07/2010 12:03

Mind you TGI friday's also expensive for the food and some others so...........

Love it when you go to one of these places and the waiter/waitress says - how would you like your burger. They only really offer cremated!

TooPragmatic · 26/07/2010 12:04

agh, just read you had a steak.!!! oh no, no, no. You can't go doing that in a place like Frankie and Benny's.

withorwithoutyou · 26/07/2010 12:06

Ah leave the harvester alone, it may be crap but at least it's cheap.

withorwithoutyou, everyone has their line-in-the-sand. Mine is the Harvester!

Mingg · 26/07/2010 12:08

Because they have babies and have to stay away from 'Super-Swanky Restaurants'

Doodleydoo · 26/07/2010 12:09

TooPragmatic - mine is Wacky Warehouse without a doubt

GetOrfMoiLand · 26/07/2010 12:09

Oh god no I didn't have the steak (DD did and it looked vile).

I had a boring caesar salad, and boring it was too.

It was so damn noisy. Bloody bastard birthdays.
